"Marcarita, what's with this big table of food? Who was eating here?" Belmod looked at the empty plates that had been cleaned out, asking Marcarita beside him with a frown and a hint of confusion in his tone.
"Oh my, oh my, it was food brought over by this Mr. Son Goku from Universe 7. The taste was absolutely delicious," Marcarita answered with a smile. "It really was quite good. Lord Belmod returned too late, otherwise you could have had a taste too. What a pity."
"Hmph, our Universe 11 also has gourmet planets. Things from Universe 7 definitely can't be good; only you would think they're delicious." Belmod rolled his eyes, expressing deep disdain with a look of contempt.
However, after sniffing the air, Belmod suddenly felt that the leftover sauce on those empty plates smelled very unique and pure. What kind of dish is this? Hmm, is it soup? Just the smell makes it feel like it was made quite well! But of course, Belmod couldn't say that out loud. How embarrassing would that be? He had just expressed his disdain.
Belmod looked at the bit of meat sauce left from the plate of braised ribs, involuntarily swallowing a mouthful of saliva, a flash of longing in his eyes. After a brief hesitation, Belmod acted as if he didn't care, dipped a finger into the sauce, and quickly sucked on it in his mouth. With just that one taste, Belmod's eyes immediately lit up, and a surprised expression appeared on his face. This taste is simply wonderful! What kind of delicacy is this? This sauce is made too well!
"How is it? The food from our Universe 7 isn't bad, right?" Beerus asked with a smile, looking at Belmod triumphantly.
"It's so-so, just average." Belmod was stubborn and didn't admit it, saying it flatly, but his eyes betrayed his true thoughts.
"Is that so?" Beerus smiled slightly, stepped forward, and pulled the plate directly to his side, deliberately preventing Belmod from touching it again.
Belmod: "..." Beerus, you've gone too far. You won't even let me have this little bit of sauce? That's too stingy!
"You, come here." Beerus pointed at Dyspo, who was dazing over there, his tone unquestionable.
Dyspo was completely confused. He pointed a finger at his own nose and looked at Beerus uncertainly.
"Yes, you!" Beerus nodded, saying firmly.
"Uh..." Dyspo stepped forward, scratched his head, and looked at Beerus, asking with a face full of confusion, "Um... may I ask you something... you wouldn't happen to be my long-lost great-uncle, would you? I think you look a lot like my great-uncle."
Beerus: "..."
Beerus's face instantly darkened, veins popping on his forehead as he gritted his teeth in rage. What the hell is a long-lost great-uncle! Does this rabbit have a problem with his eyes? He actually thinks I'm his great-uncle?
"You... what did you say? Say that to me again!" Three veins popped on Beerus's forehead, his teeth grinding in anger, his voice even changing pitch.
"Wah-ka-ka!" Belmod burst out laughing on the spot, even giving Dyspo a thumbs-up, feeling that this kid was too awesome. This kid is good, actually daring to say that to Beerus! This is so satisfying. I love seeing Beerus make such a fool of himself!
"Kid, try saying that again. Do you believe I'll Hakai you?" Beerus's teeth itched with hatred as he glared at Dyspo, a dangerous aura radiating from him.
"Dyspo, come behind me, don't be afraid of him." Belmod smiled triumphantly, feeling that Dyspo really did him proud. Getting Beerus this angry is too great. That sentence you just said was perfect; it went straight to my heart.
Dyspo was still lost, not knowing what he had said wrong to make Beerus so angry. In fact, Dyspo had just felt that Beerus looked a lot like himself, especially the face shape and the eyes, which was why he had asked. After all, even Son Goku had thought so.
"I heard my great-uncle went traveling in his early years and hasn't returned since. Is it really not you? I think you really look like him." Dyspo pressed again, looking very serious, as if he wasn't joking.
Beerus was trembling all over with rage, his fists clenched. There's such a thing as wearing the same clothes! I didn't expect to have the same face as a rabbit today! Just tell me if that's infuriating! And to make matters worse, this rabbit looked completely innocent, as if he were telling the truth. And from the looks of it, what this rabbit said might be true and not a deliberate attempt to cause trouble, which made him even angrier. Beerus felt angry just thinking about it. If this fellow were deliberately causing trouble, Beerus would definitely Hakai him without hesitation, but he was being serious.
"Hmph, you're a rabbit, right?" Vegeta couldn't stand it anymore and said flatly to Dyspo, his tone carrying a hint of mockery.
"That's right, I'm a rabbit-person. Is there a problem?" Dyspo nodded in admission, not understanding why Vegeta asked.
"Lord Beerus is a cat-person. You're not even of the same race. You'd better stop flattering yourself! Stop trying to claim a relationship!" Vegeta snorted coldly, striking him down without mercy.
"Cat-person? But he really looks a lot like my great-uncle. If you don't believe me, look." As Dyspo spoke, he pulled out an electronic device similar to a mobile phone, operated it a few times, found a photo of his great-uncle, and held it up for everyone to see.
Seeing the person in the photo, everyone present widened their eyes, showing surprised expressions. You have to admit, Dyspo's great-uncle really did look very similar to Beerus, especially the eyes and the expression; it was almost as if they were cast from the same mold.
Beerus was trembling all over with rage, his face turning various shades of blue and white. Our faces are identical; can this not be such a tragedy? This is simply a humiliation!
"Hahaha!" Belmod laughed even louder, even letting out a loud fart from laughing so hard, which broke the awkwardness of the scene. Marcarita immediately covered her nose, a look of disgust appearing on her face.
"Who farted? It's so stinky!" Son Goku immediately pinched his nose, frowning and looking around.
Everyone immediately focused their gaze on Belmod, their eyes filled with questioning and amusement. Belmod's smile froze on his face, a hint of guilt appearing as his eyes dodged, not daring to look at anyone.
"Belmod, your fart has quite a rhythm; it's quite fitting for the occasion." Beerus chuckled, feeling he had finally won a round. His tense face finally relaxed, his tone carrying a hint of teasing.
"Hmph! I said you're not welcome here. Get lost! Don't be an eyesore!" Belmod shouted angrily, hands on his hips, his chest heaving violently with rage.
"Don't say that. It wasn't easy to come here. Even if we're to leave, it won't be now." Beerus spoke with a smile, his tone relaxed, completely ignoring Belmod's anger.
"What do you want to do?" Belmod immediately looked wary, taking half a step back, and said hastily, "Gods of Destruction are not allowed to fight each other! Don't forget, a battle between us would be too intense and could easily shatter the entire universe. If Lord Zeno blames us then, no one can take the responsibility!"
"Who wants to fight you? You're overthinking it." Beerus snorted, his smile growing more radiant, but a hint of cunning flashed in his eyes.
"Dad, I feel like Lord Belmod, the God of Destruction of Universe 11, is a bit afraid of Lord Beerus. He sounds a bit lacking in confidence when he speaks." Son Goku leaned toward Bardock and whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear, his eyes full of curiosity.
"Didn't you say Lord Beerus is the strongest God of Destruction?" Bardock replied flatly, as if it were nothing unusual. "It seems Lord Beerus's strength is indeed very great, otherwise other Gods of Destruction wouldn't be so wary of him."
"That makes sense." Son Goku nodded slightly, coming to a realization.
"You're not here to fight me? Hmph, then what are you here for? To show off those delicacies you brought?" Belmod gave Beerus several eye-rolls, finding him more and more unwelcome, and said acrimoniously, "I have nothing to say to you. If you have business, say it; if not, get back to your Universe 7!"
"Rabbit, you come here first." Beerus ignored Belmod's shouting and instead beckoned to Dyspo with a mysterious smile on his face.
Dyspo walked forward with a strange look, not knowing what Beerus wanted to do, but he went over obediently.
"This is a reward for you. Try it; the taste is very good." Beerus pushed the plate with the leftover sauce from the ribs in front of Dyspo, deliberately waving it in front of Belmod's eyes.
Dyspo sniffed, and his eyes immediately lit up. This sauce smelled rich and fragrant; the taste must be good. It seemed quite delicious. Without further hesitation, Dyspo picked up the plate and took a big gulp. With that one gulp, Dyspo's eyes grew even brighter, light flashing incessantly, and a look of intoxication appeared on his face.
Gulp... gulp... gulp...
Dyspo drank the remaining sauce clean, even licking the plate, looking as if he hadn't had enough. Son Goku, Vegeta, and Bardock's mouths twitched; they looked at each other, all seeing helplessness in each other's eyes. Broly was also scratching his head on the side, not understanding what was so good about the leftover sauce that made him drink it so heartily.
Belmod's teeth ground with hatred as he cursed in his heart. You fellow, leave some for me... why did you drink it all? I just praised you for being observant. Now it seems it was a waste of praise!
"Thank you! I must say, this sauce is really delicious. I've never had such wonderful sauce." Dyspo remarked in wonder, sighing with emotion.
However, in the next instant, Dyspo was stunned and pulled half a napkin out of his mouth. Vegeta quietly wiped the sweat from his forehead. We finished eating and wiped our mouths with napkins. I wonder who threw the paper into that rib sauce plate? Uh, it seems the wind blew it; it has nothing to do with me.
"What is this?" Dyspo held the paper and studied it for a moment, asking with a face full of confusion, not understanding how this napkin could appear in the sauce.
"That's not important. Was it delicious?" Beerus felt a bit guilty, his eyes dodging slightly. It seems I was the one who wiped my mouth and flicked it in casually... this is a bit embarrassing.
"It was indeed very delicious. Thank you again for Lord Beerus's reward!" Dyspo didn't think much of it, thanked him again, and threw the napkin aside.
"Hmph, it's just a bowl of sauce. What's the big deal? Our Universe 11 also has many delicious sauces." Belmod was stubborn, snorting to express deep disdain, but he was incredibly jealous in his heart.
"Tch, what do you know!" Beerus smiled triumphantly and said with deliberate emphasis, "This isn't ordinary sauce; these are the leftovers from the ribs we ate! If even the leftovers are this delicious, imagine how good those ribs must have been!"
Belmod's eyes widened on the spot, his mouth hanging open, almost unable to close. Leftovers from eating? Even the leftovers are this delicious? Then how good must the ribs this fellow mentioned be? Wait a minute... leftovers? So, that napkin just now... was also used by them? Belmod felt a wave of nausea, his stomach churning, trembling all over with rage, pointing at Beerus but unable to speak.
"Beerus, you fellow! Did you deliberately come to show off food to me? This is too much!" The more Belmod thought about it, the angrier he got, his chest heaving violently. It was bad enough that Beerus came to their Universe 11. He even piled the dishes in his home. And yet, he didn't get to eat anything. Moreover, the sauce Dyspo drank was their leftovers. There was even a used napkin in it. This was simply a humiliation! It would be strange if Belmod wasn't angry.
However, Belmod didn't dare to fight Beerus one-on-one. After all, Beerus was known as the strongest God of Destruction. Belmod admitted he was no match for Beerus at all. If they really fought, he would definitely be asking for a beating. Moreover, being beaten by another God of Destruction in front of his two subordinates would be very embarrassing. He couldn't compare in food, and he couldn't win in a fight; Belmod grew angrier and more frustrated, feeling like he was about to explode.
But in the next instant, Belmod's eyes rolled, and he focused his attention on Son Goku and the others. An idea suddenly formed in his heart.
"Beerus, are these four fellows all cooks you brought along? They look quite ordinary." Belmod asked with a smile, his tone carrying a hint of testing.
"They are not cooks." Beerus shook his head and said seriously, "They are all my disciples. I brought them out to gain experience and train."
Son Goku: "..."
Broly: "..."
Vegeta: "..."
Bardock: "..."
Son Goku and the other three were speechless for a moment, their faces showing expressions between laughter and tears. You haven't taught us anything, have you? The one who taught us training was Whis, okay? How did we become your disciples? This skin is too thick. But of course, Son Goku and the others couldn't debunk him in public; that would be disrespectful to Beerus. They could only go along with this statement.
"Your disciples? What? Are you planning to retire too?" Belmod was slightly stunned and asked with some surprise, not expecting Beerus to actually take disciples.
"The word 'too'... what does that mean? Is another God of Destruction planning to retire?" Beerus asked, looking at Belmod curiously.
"What? You don't know yet? I plan to step down and am currently training a disciple to take my place in the future." Belmod smiled slightly and replied truthfully, a hint of pride on his face.
"Oh? Is that so?" Beerus nodded thoughtfully, studying Toppo and Dyspo, guessing which one was Belmod's successor.
"Let me introduce you. This is Toppo, my personal disciple." Belmod pointed to Toppo beside him and introduced him proudly. "If nothing goes wrong, in a few years, he will inherit my position as God of Destruction and become the new God of Destruction of Universe 11. He will definitely be more outstanding than me."
Beerus scrutinized Toppo from top to bottom, his gaze searching, as if evaluating his potential.
"Toppo, this is Beerus, the God of Destruction of Universe 7. Get to know him." Belmod introduced Beerus to Toppo.
"Greetings, Lord Beerus." Toppo hurriedly bowed, his attitude respectful.
"You don't need to be so polite to him. Among the many Gods of Destruction, this fellow is not well-liked at all, and his personality is bad." Belmod smiled at Toppo, deliberately disparaging Beerus.
Toppo's mouth twitched slightly, and he was even a bit at a loss. Although Lord Belmod said not to be so polite to Beerus…
The problem was, Toppo couldn't exactly be impolite either.
Toppo had seen through it long ago. It seemed Lord Belmod couldn't beat Beerus; his attitude from earlier made it obvious, carrying a clear sense of wariness. If you can't beat him, yet you tell me not to be so polite to him... when he beats me up later, who's going to help me? Also, if I don't listen to Lord Belmod, will he give me a hard time later? Toppo was caught in a dilemma, standing there not knowing how to proceed, so he could only give an awkward smile.
Belmod didn't go out of his way to make things difficult for Toppo; he had just been speaking casually. He then shifted the topic, looked at Son Goku and the others, and asked Beerus, "You say those few are your disciples? They don't look like much."
"That's right, they are all disciples I've meticulously trained. Their strength is very great," Beerus nodded with a thick skin, not feeling guilty at all.
"That's great! Since they're all disciples, how about letting them spar a bit?" Belmod's interest was instantly piqued, his eyes lighting up as he proposed, "Your disciples against mine. We Gods of Destruction aren't allowed to interfere; just consider it a training opportunity for them. Isn't that a good idea?"
"Are you sure?" The corners of Beerus's mouth curled up slightly, revealing a hint of an expectant smile.
"Of course I'm sure. I'm not afraid of your disciples." Belmod was also full of confidence; he had great faith in the strength of Toppo and Dyspo.
"Then let's have a spar. I also want to see how formidable your disciples are." Beerus was more than happy to let them fight. After all, in Beerus's view, Son Goku's strength was already not far from his own. It was possible that if Goku faced the God of Destruction Belmod, he might even have a chance of winning. Let alone fighting his disciples. That disciple didn't look like anything special, except for his arms being a bit thick... Hmm, he must not be doing anything good in his spare time. Otherwise, why would his arms be so thick?
"What about the rules? We need to set some rules." Belmod asked with a smile.
"Set them however you like, I have no objection." Beerus looked completely indifferent.
"Then, aside from not being allowed to kill, there are no other rules. We fight until one side surrenders!" Belmod proposed. "The entire Sacred World of the Kai is the arena. Fight however you want, no boundary restrictions. What do you think?"
"No problem at all. We'll do as you say," Beerus readily agreed.
"Then let's have a team battle! Two on our side against four on yours! That would be fair," Belmod added.
"No, no, no." Beerus shook his head, rejecting the proposal. Belmod was slightly stunned, not understanding what Beerus meant.
"It's not a team battle. It's one person from our side challenging two from yours. That will better demonstrate the gap in strength." Beerus grinned, laughing happily as if victory were already in his grasp.
Belmod: "..."
"Hmph, you'd better think this through. Don't say we're bullying you when you lose! One against two—if you lose, you deserve it!" Belmod snorted coldly, giving Beerus an eye-roll.
"Don't worry. A loss is a loss. I'm not like some people who can't afford to lose." Beerus smiled confidently, his tone carrying a hint of mockery.
"In that case, let's begin. Who from your side will fight? Don't tell me no one dares to step up when the time comes," Belmod asked with interest, his gaze full of provocation.
However, just as Belmod finished asking, he saw the four of them—Goku and the others—playing Rock-Paper-Scissors to decide who would fight.
"Rock, Paper, Scissors!"
"It's a tie! Again!"
"Rock, Paper, Scissors!"
"Hahaha, I won! It's my turn this time!" Broly said excitedly, raising his fist with a thrilled smile on his face.
Son Goku was filled with frustration, stomping his feet in disappointment. How did I lose again?
"Dammit, this guy has such good luck!" Vegeta felt a bit disgruntled, speaking with a frown.
"Vegeta, be content. You fought almost every match in the tournament against Universe 6. Let Broly have this one," Goku sighed and advised, patting Vegeta on the shoulder.
"Hmph." Vegeta snorted and stopped paying attention to Goku, though his eyes still held a hint of defiance.
"I'm up." Broly rubbed his hands together, eager to start. He took a step forward, a faint aura already beginning to radiate from his body.
"You two together, give him a good lesson. Show him the might of our Universe 11. Don't embarrass me!" Belmod instructed Toppo and Dyspo, his tone full of expectation.
"Lord Belmod can rest assured. We definitely won't embarrass you. We guarantee he'll lose miserably," Dyspo hurriedly bowed, speaking with full confidence.
"Actually, Dyspo alone could defeat him without me even stepping in. I won't join the fray," Toppo also smiled confidently, not taking Broly seriously at all. After all, in Toppo's view, this person stepping out to fight didn't look like anything special on the surface. Although they were all hiding their strength now, Toppo felt this person's strength was likely just average. At most, being on par with Dyspo would be impressive enough; there was no need for him to act.
Both sides took their positions; the battle was about to begin. Broly faced the combined force of Toppo and Dyspo alone, his expression calm and without a trace of fear. However, Toppo and Dyspo really didn't intend to team up against Broly; they felt that would be an unsporting victory and they would be laughed at if word got out.
"Captain, let me go first! I want to see what he's capable of." Dyspo took a step forward and spoke to Toppo, eager to try.
