Hours had gone by since Derrick showed Sir Thompson what he was capable of.
He was currently in his room, finishing up some basic training.
Sir Thompson had taught him something he called "Kata". It was a choreographed sequence of movements practiced in martial arts.
It was meant to help him fight with more finesse and fluidity, instead of predictably.
Honestly, Derrick saw it as a sequence of useless dances that didn't hold any real value in real world fights.
But, he decided to at least give it the benefit of the doubt. He knew there was no chance of Sir Thompson recommending something to him that wouldn't work.
'Why didn't you listen to me earlier today?'
A system message appeared, but Derrick couldn't care less.
'I asked you a question!!' The system's voice switched from calm to authoritative.
'And I ignored you.' Derrick said flatly.
'We need to have a conversation that's long overdue, don't we?' The system asked, and Derrick finally stopped his kata.
