Seraphina Vale did not move for several seconds after reading the final message. The words remained glowing on her phone screen.
Your husband's real enemy is already inside Ashford Tower… and you spoke to him less than an hour ago.
Lucien stood across the desk while he studied the same message; neither of them spoke immediately.
Seraphina finally exhaled slowly. "This person clearly knows everything that is happening around us, and they won't stop if we don't put an end to it."
Lucien nodded once. "Yes, you are right."
Seraphina placed the phone carefully on the desk. "They also know who the real enemy is."
Lucien's expression remained thoughtful. "That person might only want us to believe that."
Seraphina folded her arms. "You think we are being manipulated again."
Lucien walked toward the window. "That possibility still exists."
Seraphina thought carefully. "I spoke with several people in the last hour."
Lucien turned toward her. "List them."
