Chapter 21 - OPHK: Chapter 21

Although it was one of the four major kingdoms in the North Sea, he always felt that the overall level of his subordinates was low, like a flock of sheep, unable to help him realize his dream of invasion.

And Grimm's appearance gave the old king hope, of course, on the premise that he could successfully win Grimm over.

Grimm didn't speak, picked up the wine glass, shook it, and took a sip of red wine. Seeing this, Gangplank also put away his smile and glared fiercely at Wolf: "Old man, if you want to improve your power, you better figure out your own level first."

Old Wolf was angered by these words. How could he not hear that these two guys were mocking his low strength and didn't bother to cooperate with someone like him?

"Even if you two are strong, you can't touch a finger of Vinsmoke Judge. If you want to take revenge, you must cooperate with me!"

Although he was humiliated, Wolf didn't want to give up on recruiting Grimm and the others. The two guys in front of him were definitely among the top powerhouses in the North Sea. Both of them had the combat power to destroy a kingdom's army alone.

"Sorry, King Wolf, my dream is in the Grand Line and the Red Line. This kind of small place can't keep me."

Saying this, Grimm drank the last drop of red wine, stood up, and led Gangplank towards the exit of the banquet hall. When he reached the door, Grimm's body paused, and he smiled again: "Even if you give me the throne, I won't die on this damn throne. Rather than that, I'd rather die in the belly of a damn Sea King!"

After speaking, he left the palace without looking back.

What he wanted to conquer was the entire world. How could he bind his dreams to this small place, dominating the North Sea? Avenge the Vinsmoke Family? Maybe he would do it along the way in the future.

A week later, the war between the Minas Kingdom and the Arancha Kingdom ended. The Arancha Kingdom's palace was completely captured, and the queen was captured.

At the same time, Grimm's first "Holy Light Cathedral" in the Minas Kingdom was also completed.

He happily received 500 Holy Light Points. As for what would happen to the cathedral in the future, sorry, he had no interest.

However, something unexpected happened to Grimm. When Grimm was preparing to leave the Minas Kingdom, a man wearing a priest's robe came to see Grimm and Gangplank off.

He was followed by more than a hundred civilians.

Grimm didn't recognize who this guy was at first, but after taking a closer look, it was actually Avro. How did this guy become a priest?

"Lord Grimm! I have obtained His Majesty the King's permission. I have resigned from my job as the guard captain and am now working as a priest in the Holy Light Cathedral," Avro said very excitedly.

Grimm liked this thirty-year-old uncle very much. He was upright and didn't play petty tricks. In the past few days in the Minas Kingdom, Grimm's food and daily life were mostly arranged by him.

And this guy admired Grimm very much, especially that he was very interested in the "Holy Light" and asked many times about the principles of the Holy Light. Grimm then handed him a book called "The Self-Cultivation of a Paladin," which this guy regarded as a treasure.

This book was given to Grimm by the system. It was said that only those who believed in the Holy Light could understand the contents of it. It was used to develop Grimm's power, but Grimm had never taken it to heart. The reward points from developing power weren't as fast as leveling up by killing monsters. He didn't expect it to actually come in handy here.

Next, Avro did something that made Grimm's jaw drop. He put his hands together, and a wisp of golden halo appeared on Avro's hands.

"Lord Grimm, do you see that? The great Holy Light has heard my call. It's responding to me! I can now use the Holy Light to help people get rid of some simple diseases. Do you know what? Now the people are serving you and the great Holy Light as great saviors!" Avro was very excited.

Grimm was shocked. He had the impression that the system had said that those who believed in the Holy Light would indeed become paladins or priests after training, but he had quickly forgotten about this matter since it didn't reward any Holy Light Points.

The system told him that only those who absolutely worshiped Grimm and had extreme faith in the Holy Light could do it, and Avro had done it.

However, there was one thing that Grimm couldn't understand. Why were his Holy Light skills only effective on himself, but this guy could help others get rid of diseases?

"Ding! No matter who it is, auxiliary skills are only effective on others when they are in the cathedral."

Grimm was relieved!

"Then, congratulations, Avro. I believe that before long, you will become a great paladin like me!" Grimm patted Avro on the shoulder and encouraged him.

"Thank you, Lord Grimm!" Avro was very touched.

Then, Grimm said goodbye to Avro. Grimm invited Avro to get on the ship and leave with them, because Grimm thought that this guy was indeed good and would be a obedient subordinate, but he didn't expect Avro to refuse outright!

"I really want to go to sea with Lord Grimm, but my ideal is here. I want to help the Holy Light bestow blessings to everyone in the kingdom."

When they said goodbye, the civilians who came with them offered the specialties from their homes, including wine, clothes, and some food.

This almost made Grimm cry. These people were really very simple. Grimm helped them end the war and brought them the cathedral and the Holy Light, so they naturally remembered Grimm's goodness and offered their good things.

Grimm's ship quickly disappeared from everyone's sight.

Early the next morning, Avro was studying "The Self-Cultivation of a Paladin" in the cathedral as usual, and more than a hundred civilians had gathered in the cathedral to pray.

Suddenly, a group of people wearing white Navy uniforms rushed in. One of them, a Navy captain with a cigar in his mouth and a Justice coat draped over his shoulders, puffed out a smoke and said, "Which of you is Avro?"

"Officer, may the great Holy Light bless you. May I ask, what do you want from me?" Avro put down the book in his hand.

"Take him away!" The captain said without any expression, and a group of Navy soldiers behind him rushed up.

"Officer, what do you want to do? I don't seem to have done anything wrong!" Avro wanted to resist, but the muzzles of those Navy soldiers' guns were already aimed at the praying civilians.

"If you dare to resist, I'll kill these believers!" The captain threatened.

"I'll go with you!" Avro said helplessly: "Please don't hurt them."

...

Vegapunk, a genius scientist who was arrested after the government discovered that he was researching "life design."

But because his powerful talent amazed the World Government, they didn't send him to prison, but instead directly entered the government's research institute.

There, Vegapunk got everything he wanted, because no matter what research he wanted to do or how much research funding he needed, the government would unconditionally support him.

And today, while he was researching, the door of the laboratory was suddenly opened, and Vegapunk turned his head unhappily, only to find that it was actually a government worker.
