Chapter 54 - OPHK: Chapter 54

Grimm walked through the area, with few people around, but it was clear that there were surveillance video Den Den Mushi cameras hidden nearby.

If he returned to the ship like this, he would definitely be mistaken for a real CP0 agent and taken straight to Mary Geoise. He had to get out of here unnoticed.

Because now Grimm realized a very awkward problem: the Sea Prism Stone was bound to the ship he had seized earlier. But that ship was now destroyed, so when he tried to activate the Sea Prism Stone, the system only prompted, "Please bind a location!"

Forget it. He'd just have to rely on his own skills to get out. Plus, Grimm remembered that he still had a mission to kill Navy personnel—just the perfect opportunity to complete it.

So Grimm decided to eliminate the nearby surveillance first.

Thinking of this, Grimm immediately activated his[Blind Light]skill, also known as the "Blinding Holy Light," releasing a powerful beam of light from his body.

A Navy surveillance team member, who was idly watching, suddenly saw countless screens filled with a bright golden light, and then everything went dark. "What's going on? Is the Den Den Mushi malfunctioning?"

The Den Den Mushi family is actually a type of biological creature, capable of life and even death. When struck by the blinding light, it naturally ceased functioning and stopped broadcasting.

"Go investigate immediately and see what's happening!"

In other branches, such incidents might be ignored, but here at the Navy Headquarters, they couldn't afford to overlook anything if a problem arose.

Meanwhile, Grimm approached the blind Den Den Mushi. Soon, two soldiers came over and, upon seeing Grimm, hurried to salute.

Grimm waved at them, signaling them to come closer.

The two looked at each other with confusion, then stood in front of him. Grimm said casually, "I have something to report to the Navy higher-ups—may the Holy Light bless you!"

BANG!

Just as the two were focused, preparing to listen, Grimm suddenly placed his palms on their shoulders—one on each. Before they could react, he activated his[Purify]skill, instantly turning both Navy personnel into ashes.

In that same moment, Grimm transformed from his disguise as the leader of CP0 into the appearance of another Navy officer.

...

Elsewhere, at the Navy Square dock, more than four hours had passed, but the CP0 commander still hadn't appeared. The agents aboard the government ship grew anxious.

Although they knew this was the Navy's main base, and something serious could happen, they also knew it was impossible for anything to happen here!

The Navy was increasingly ignoring the orders from the government. The two sides were far less harmonious than the outside world thought.

The government didn't want to cause trouble on Navy territory, and the Navy, seeing the government's ships, would dodge and avoid confrontation—they didn't want to get involved with them either.

On the other side of the square, Grimm, disguised as the soldier he had just eliminated, was walking and saw a Navy warship docked on the shore.

The sails were raised, indicating it was about to set out. If the ship was just parked without plans to sail, the sails would be lowered.

"Where is this ship headed?" Grimm asked a passing third-class soldier from an inconspicuous spot.

"The Vice-Admiral Saisu is leading it to Water City for an investigation. Don't you know what happened there recently?" the third-class soldier replied, glancing at the ship. It wasn't a secret.

He then looked at Grimm with suspicion and asked, "Which general's men are you? Certainly not with Vice-Admiral Saisu, right?"

In normal circumstances, a Navy division would have thousands of subordinates, so not everyone is familiar. But at a moment like this—when the ship is about to set sail—someone asking where it's headed is suspicious, making people think "This guy isn't part of this unit."

"To be honest, I'd like to request a transfer to another unit. So I took this shift to look around. What do you think of Vice-Admiral Saisu?" Grimm said casually.

"Hmm, I see. But you shouldn't talk about these things lightly, or you'll get into trouble!" the soldier said, no longer suspicious.

Indeed, many Navy personnel are dissatisfied with their superiors and want to transfer—this can be described as "countless" in number.

Currently, the most famous is the newly promoted Vice-Admiral Sakaski, who has the power of the Magma Fruit. His treatment of subordinates has become so strict that it's almost like "abuse."

This harsh management style has caused many sailors to jump ship, even leading to complaints reaching Admiral Sengoku.

Sengoku decided to discipline Sakaski by temporarily assigning him to Captain Kizaru, to let him experience Kizaru's "loving fist" and temper his sharpness.

"Come over here and talk to me," Grimm pulled the third-class soldier into a corner to discuss this, because talking about superiors in public was inappropriate.

"The Vice-Admiral Saisu is strict at work… but as long as there's no special mission, he finishes work on time and doesn't interfere with our rest or leave," the soldier answered.

"Really? Thanks!"

"Transferring units isn't easy. Don't mess around. Well, I'm leaving now—getting ready to set sail…"

As the soldier was about to leave, Grimm suddenly grabbed his shoulder. Activating his[Purify]skill, he absorbed part of the soldier's memories and appearance, then stepped out from the corner—now he was that soldier.

Wuwu~

At this moment, the attack horn sounded. A Navy Ensign on the ship's bow loudly shouted, "Vice-Admiral Saisu is preparing to attack! All soldiers, get ready to board!"

Grimm smiled slightly and boarded the ship.

...

Six hours later, the government side, unable to endure any longer, arrived at the Marine Headquarters building, demanding to know what was happening. However, the officer responsible for handling CP0, was very confused upon hearing this.

Isn't the person already gone?

Could they really not have returned in six hours?

According to normal procedures, the CP0 agent should have disappeared six hours ago.

Smoker thought about this and realized the seriousness of the issue. He immediately turned around and went upstairs to report to Admiral Aokiji.

"CP0 has been missing for six hours. Why are you only reporting this now?" Aokiji slammed the table in anger.

"Marshal, you know the relationship between the government and the Navy is tense. They probably don't want to get too involved with us!" Smoker almost bit his cigar in frustration.

Having a high-level figure like CP0, especially at the Chief level, missing from the Marine Headquarters would be an extremely serious matter—unimaginably so.

"Immediately activate the Level-2 alert. Search all personnel. Notify the surveillance teams and have them thoroughly check every monitoring point. Report any issues immediately!" Aokiji ordered with a wave of his hand.
