Chapter 106 - OPHK: Chapter 106

"At this moment, Alessia brought her hand to her mouth, bit her fingertip, and placed it on a seemingly insignificant stone.

The instant Alessia's bleeding finger lightly touched the stone, the stone, which should have been commonplace, instantly turned crimson red.

Then, Alessia first twisted the stone clockwise for one and a half turns, then counter-clockwise by about thirty degrees, then clockwise again by thirty degrees, and finally released it.

This reminded Grimm of a fantasy movie called "The Mummy."

Immediately, Alessia swam to another adult-sized stone block and forcefully pushed it. A passage isolating the lake water suddenly appeared in the rock wall.

Alessia and Grimm entered one after another.

When Grimm reached the main door, he found a bubble at the secret door, very similar to the ones on Sabaody Archipelago. This was a method to prevent lake water from flowing into the passage.

But honestly, such a safety measure was quite good, not only setting up the secret mechanism in such a location but also having a dual safeguard with royal blood as the key.

"Did your so-called grandfather teach you how to open this mechanism?" Grimm asked, walking up to Alessia.

"Grandfather" was not Alessia's real grandfather but a trusted confidant of the king who escaped when the country was destroyed. To prevent her identity from being exposed, after bringing Alessia out, he chose to die at the hands of pirates. Before he died, he grabbed Alessia's hand and said: "The World Government will surely perish. Live on, until that day…"

It was precisely because of this that Alessia mustered the courage to live until now.

"Yes, he gave me a secret letter from my father. After I memorized its contents, I destroyed it immediately!" Alessia sighed mournfully.

After walking through a damp staircase, the two passed through a second door and entered a vast space.

It looked very dilapidated, like a slum, indicating that no one had been there for a long time.

In the enormous space, only one thing stood: a giant red stone tablet nearly three meters tall, inscribed with black runes that even Grimm couldn't recognize.

Grimm and Alessia stepped forward. Alessia hugged the stone tablet as if embracing a loved one, tears streaming down her face. "My father, and my country, died because of this, and perished because of this…"

She began to sob uncontrollably. Grimm patted her shoulder, then stroked her head. Alessia could no longer bear the grief suppressed in her heart for so many years. She turned around and suddenly hugged Grimm, burying her head in his chest and weeping loudly.

"Please… please… you must help me… get revenge!"

"En!" Grimm stroked her back. "Don't worry, you will surely witness with your own eyes the World Government turning to ashes, and the heads of the Celestial Dragons hanging from the cliffs of the Red Line. You will surely see a new… New World!"

After a while, Alessia wiped her tears and pulled away from Grimm's chest.

Grimm also turned his attention to the stone tablet and muttered to himself: "Is this what the World Government wants? What exactly is this…"

After observing for a while, Grimm lowered his hand from the red stone tablet and said to Alessia: "To overthrow the World Government, you need not only the will but also the strength. You are still too weak!"

Grimm's words made Alessia's body stiffen. How could she not know that her strength was so weak that she couldn't even shake a small kingdom, let alone the World Government!

"But don't worry, the Holy Light will help you grow stronger slowly. Accept the blessings of the Holy Light!" Grimm said, raising his left hand as a beam of holy light poured into Alessia's body.

Alessia closed her eyes and suddenly felt an incomparably pure power stirring within her body, making her feel unprecedentedly strong.

"What is this…" Alessia suddenly opened her eyes.

"The power the Holy Light has bestowed upon you!" Grimm explained simply. There was no need for a detailed explanation, as Alessia could feel the specific power herself.

"For your dream, and also for our shared ideal, I have a mission for you now!" Grimm said.

"Please tell me!" Alessia's eyes flashed with golden light. The Holy Light had completely cleansed her body. Two red tear streaks, similar to "Sally Whyte Main," appeared below her eyes.

"Operation Bloody Crusaders. I need you to create a Bloody Crusade. There's no need to rush; we have plenty of time!" Grimm said after pondering for a while. "I believe in you!"

Grimm said, waving his hand, and directly collected the blood-red stone tablet before him into his system space.

Alessia wasn't surprised by this, as she hadn't recovered from suddenly gaining the power of the Holy Light. Then, Grimm bent down, lightly kissed Alessia's forehead, and stood up to leave.

"You've bestowed such great power upon me. Aren't you afraid I'll betray you?" Alessia finally blurted out.

Grimm laughed heartily: "I believe not. Because that night, you already became my person, didn't you?"

Hearing this, Alessia's face flushed red. "Don't worry, Grandmaster. I will complete the mission!"

Grimm waved his hand, and his body turned into a golden light, disappearing from the spot.

Not long after, on the coast of the Concordia Kingdom ruins, Grimm sat on his ship's throne, looking up at the sky. "I've obtained something more precious than treasure. Now, how should I play with the government?"

Just as Grimm was thinking, Jiana suddenly said, "Grandmaster, you gave such precious power to that Alessia. What if she has ulterior motives!"

Seeing Jiana's slightly jealous expression, Grimm felt amused. "No need to worry. If I can bestow power upon her, I can naturally take it back!"

...

Two days later, after finishing a bottle of beer, Grimm found only one bottle left when he tried to pour another. "Looks like I need to find a place to dock. Life is impossible without beer. I really hope the system can add more games. I'm tired of playing Teamfight Tactics…"

Several kilometers away from Grimm, on a Navy patrol reconnaissance ship, the scout immediately reported the situation to the ship's highest commander upon spotting Grimm's massive iron ship.

After a moment of deliberation, the Rear Admiral decided it was best to remain hidden. He wouldn't do something as foolish as throwing an egg at a rock. He would report Grimm's location to Headquarters first.
