Grimm and Redfield ran towards each other on the grass. Redfield held his umbrella in one hand, and at the opportune moment, his Bat Umbrella unleashed several red sword energies that continuously flew towards Grimm. Grimm blocked them all.
"I see. Not only his clothes but even his techniques are red. Is that why he's called the Lonely Red?" Seeing the never-before-seen red sword energy, Grimm remarked.
Redfield seized the opportunity, stopped abruptly, and thrust his sword towards Grimm's head.
Grimm gripped Ashbringer with both hands to block. Grimm knew this sword strike carried immense power; he might not be able to block it with just one hand!
After a few seconds of stalemate, Redfield's sword attack shifted downwards. A crimson sword energy grazed past Grimm and struck a Mangrove tree behind him.
Boom!
The sword energy pierced through several Mangrove trees consecutively, finally stopping somewhere far beyond their line of sight.
"Waaaaah…"
Both sides, witnessing the immense destructive power, had their eyeballs nearly pop out of their sockets.
Crack!
The severed Mangrove trees split in half and began to fall. A bounty hunter shouted, "The Mangrove is falling! Run!"
Everyone scattered. The massive tremor from the collapsing Mangrove trees did not affect the continued battle between the two.
The sword energy subsided, and Grimm's Ashbringer clashed with Redfield's umbrella again. Both weapons trembled slightly, neither willing to yield for the moment!
"Haha… My trusty blade is still sharp, Senior Redfield!"
"Old… Bullshit! If this little bit already surprises you, you can surrender now!" Redfield taunted.
"Then… descend, Holy Light!"
Suddenly, Grimm let out a heavy breath. Redfield's gaze shifted upwards. A winged angel wielding a giant sword descended from the sky.
"Hmph, a very interesting ability!"
With a cold snort, Redfield unleashed his full power, pushing Grimm back. Red flashes shot towards the angel in a straight line. Golden light flashed, and two seconds later, the angel exploded into specks of golden light and disappeared.
Swish, swish, swish, swish!
Numerous golden spears suddenly appeared and shot towards Redfield.
Redfield controlled his slender yet incredibly agile body, swinging his umbrella sword and deflecting all the golden spears. No, he was batting them away.
Far away in Sector 7, a pirate discussing human trafficking with his companions was suddenly shot in the head. His companion, still unaware of what had happened, was splattered with brain matter from the bullet hole!
Boom!
A massive casino was destroyed. This was Sector 9 of Sabaody Archipelago. To be precise, it wasn't destroyed; it was merely affected by the blast.
The gamblers who had been clamoring in the casino, facing the prospect of either instant riches or utter ruin, now found many of them truly sent to hell.
Before dying, they only saw a flash of red light and then knew nothing more.
The culprit behind the casino's destruction, Redfield the Lonely Red, Patrick Redfield, stood on the rooftop of another casino, his umbrella sword planted by his feet. He looked at the casino he had just destroyed in the distance and sneered, "Stop playing dead, Grimm. I know you're still alive!"
Suddenly, a golden light streaked past. Grimm, transformed into an angel with golden wings, held a sword in his left hand and a large hammer in his right, crossing them as he brought them down towards Redfield's head.
Boom!
A massive shockwave spread outwards. One second later, the ground collapsed outwards for at least a thousand meters, centered on the two of them.
Redfield blocked the blow with one hand holding his sword. Simultaneously, his left hand was covered in dark red Armament Haki, and he delivered a palm strike.
Swish~
Grimm's left hand, holding Ashbringer, was severed and flew off!
Despite losing an arm, Grimm's expression remained unchanged. His demeanor shifted, and a smile played on his lips.
"Divine Storm!"
Buzz~~~
A deafening roar sounded. A massive golden sword energy spread outwards from Grimm like a tornado, seemingly intent on tearing Redfield to shreds.
"Not bad, kid!"
Redfield gripped his umbrella sword and swung it rapidly, deflecting all the golden sword energies.
"Do you think I achieved the same status as Newgate for nothing?"
Redfield said with a mocking laugh. "It's simple: my Observation and Armament Haki are on par with Roger's!"
His aged body pushed Grimm back, and simultaneously, he drew his sword at an imperceptible speed, thrusting it into Grimm's body.
"My taijutsu and Armament Haki are also on par with Garp!"
"Heh heh…"
Redfield's lips curled, but his expression suddenly changed.
Despite his body being completely impaled, Grimm maintained his smile and then intentionally pulled Redfield's long sword out of himself.
"Do you have faith, Redfield? If not, I suggest you have faith in Holy Light!" Grimm said with a smile. At the same time, his severed arm and Ashbringer transformed into golden light and flew back to the wound on Grimm's shoulder.
"Slick-tongued!" Redfield had just finished speaking when he heard Grimm roar.
"Haa! Oh, Supreme Holy Light, grant me strength!" After speaking, Grimm emitted an extremely dazzling Holy Light, and his entire body rapidly ascended into the sky as if gravity had no effect.
He appeared like a deity!
The sky was completely covered in golden light, rendering it sacred. Even the sun's rays were completely obscured, blanketing the entire Sabaody Archipelago.
[Divine Baptism: Wings of Faith]
"Wh-what is that?" A gambler, who had just crawled out of the rubble in the distance, looked at the scene in disbelief.
The light was blinding. Many could barely keep their eyes open. The Holy Light was sacred, but to them, it seemed like the judgment of the apocalypse.
"Are they fighting?"
"A Devil Fruit user?"
"Damn it, don't you know this is the closest place to Marine Headquarters? If we cause trouble, the forces from Marine Headquarters will come, and none of us will escape!" A pirate who was planning to gamble once and then head to the New World angrily punched a collapsed wall beside him.
"That's quite exaggerated…"
Redfield looked at Grimm and the strange light surrounding him, constantly sensing the terrifying aura surging within the Holy Light.
"Haa."
Grimm raised his hands and shouted, and countless Holy Light lasers shot towards Redfield.
These were no ordinary lasers. They were the Light of Baptism after Grimm activated [Divine Baptism: Wings of Faith]. If hit, even a Giant would be instantly reduced to ashes by the Holy Light.
In all of history, Grimm had only used this move once, during his previous battle with Whitebeard. However, the Holy Light's power then was less than half of what it was now, and Whitebeard had managed to neutralize it.
This time, Grimm eagerly awaited Redfield's performance.
