Chapter 145 - OPHK: Chapter 145

In early Marine Year 1500.

Grimm, Redfield, Kong!

These three engaged in a fierce battle at Sabaody Archipelago, the end point of the first half of the Grand Line, until they destroyed Sectors 60 to 70, which served as the Marine and World Government base, and devastated more than half of the island's southern area. The fight only ceased after 22 hours due to the intervention of the World Government.

Simultaneously, due to this battle, countless pirates were affected. Over six hundred pirates were arrested, and even innocent bystanders like island merchants (human traffickers) and bounty hunters tragically died in this battle.

However, what Grimm didn't expect was that even though his skills killed so many people, he only lost less than five hundred Holy Light points, which showed how corrupt Sabaody Archipelago was.

Due to the chaotic battle among the three factions, even though the fight was eventually forced to stop, they didn't linger. They left immediately.

Redfield and Grimm temporarily withdrew from Sabaody Archipelago and returned to the first half of the Grand Line. Kong, under the dire orders of the Five Elders, the world's top authority, abandoned the pursuit of the two.

In this battle, Grimm lost nearly three hundred respawn tokens. Redfield and Kong, due to their increasing age, suffered hidden physical ailments from the intense battle. The combined attack power of the two might not even match that of Whitebeard in his current prime…

As for Sector 66, the Celestial Dragons' territory, it was beyond description. It was so destroyed that not a trace of its former appearance remained. Kong bore an inescapable responsibility, but he felt wronged. Those two scoundrels, one old and one young, always unleashed their skills indiscriminately, never directly targeting him, as if it were intentional!

Several nautical miles off Sabaody Archipelago, Redfield and Grimm commandeered a ship together. Grimm comfortably reclined on a lounge chair on the deck, crossing his legs and constantly swaying them. "Are we going to Loguetown?"

"Ah… Let's see what Roger saw before he died!"

After saying this, Redfield suddenly spotted a pirate ship about two kilometers to his right. "Farewell for now!" he said, then leaped, running across the water. It was a bit like… Brook from the original story!

Grimm was curious, wondering if he had misread. Did this guy know Brook?

Grimm currently had no intention of returning to the New World. Plank had already rented a small boat to pick up Yasuo, as drifting at sea indefinitely wasn't ideal.

Since there was nothing pressing, Grimm decided to find some fun. He suddenly thought of a great idea…

There were also some auxiliary skills and talents. In short, the Paladin's attack power had decreased, but it was sufficient. The key was its incredible toughness and control effects.

"From now on, I'm a Protection Paladin…" Grimm muttered to himself. It was perfect timing to gain proficiency with Truth Guardian in the Grand Line.

After sailing for several hours, Grimm spotted another pirate ship. He couldn't help but smile. As expected of the peak of the Great Pirate Era, besides the ship Redfield had spotted earlier, he saw another one not long after.

"Then let's give it a try…"

Grimm directly summoned his flying mount and flew towards the pirate ship. The navigator on the pirate ship breathed a sigh of relief, finally seeing off that big shot. Although their captain was killed, their navigation skills remained. At worst, they could switch to another pirate ship; they were still a navigator!

(Generally, the navigator holds a position second only to the captain in a pirate crew. Therefore, Zoro was definitely not the vice-captain! Those interested can pay attention to the order of appearance of the characters in the Straw Hat Pirates in One Piece!)

...

New World.

At the branch base of the Big Mom Pirates, one of the "Three Calamities," after recently conquering a new island.

"Mahahahahaha! Redfield has finally emerged after disappearing for years! If Redfield had retired like Rayleigh, he could have lived out his later years peacefully, couldn't he?"

Charlotte Linlin laughed heartily, while corrosive acid continuously dripped onto the floor, dissolving it.

In the past year, Big Mom had likely doubled in width, and her last vestiges of charm had vanished!

"Mama, aren't you going to do something about Redfield?"

Zeus, the thundercloud, floated beside Charlotte Linlin, his expression perpetually gloomy.

Charlotte Linlin continued to eat cake. "He's just an old man whose strength has rapidly declined. And he always acts alone, so he's not much of a threat. That kid Grimm, I only paid attention to him because he's young. It's a pity he refused to have children with me!"

After speaking, Charlotte Linlin popped a two-meter-long ice cream cone into her mouth. "Ultimately, being alone just won't do!"

...

Several days later, on the Red Line Continent, in Mary Geoise, the office of the Five Elders, the wielders of the world's ultimate power.

"Your actions have provoked a strong reaction from the Celestial Dragons, Kong. Even Lord Im has spoken!"

One of the Five Elders, with white curly hair, sat on a sofa and said in a deep voice.

Kong, standing before the five, had his arms crossed, showing no intention of backing down. From the moment he declared "I am the Fleet Admiral" in Sector 66, he had made his resolve.

"Grimm and Redfield are top pirates in the world. Even if I didn't act, they would have caused destruction! Besides, they just destroyed some toys, and those guys are making such a fuss!"

Kong tilted his head and said, "I think your World Government is too merciful!"

"Watch your tone, Kong. You Marines are merely the World Government's facade!" the Five Elder with a birthmark on his forehead and a mustache said displeasedly.

Kong just snorted and said no more. Less talking was better.

To the left of the sofa, one of the Five Elders, with a long white beard styled like the character "Mountain" was flipping through a book titled "Historical and Cultural Studies."

The author of this book was Professor Clover, a scholar from the cultural island of Ohara. His research and insights into history were considered among the best in the world.

However, in his recently released book, the long-haired Five Elder discovered something peculiar.

It wasn't that there was a problem, just that something felt off.

As for the Celestial Dragons' matter, it was neither a major nor a minor issue. The World Government and the Celestial Dragons had lost face with their property being destroyed. Grimm and Redfield's bounties would have to be increased!
