Chapter 223 - OPHK: Chapter 223

At this moment, deep within the central valley of Trabia Island...

Garp sat perched atop a peak, watching the battle unfold below.

"HYAAH!!"

Momonga roared, raising his long blade and striking down hard — only for the blow to be blocked by Grimm's Hammer of the Lightbringer, sending sparks flying in every direction!

Momonga didn't press the attack; the moment his strike was parried, he immediately leaped back to create distance.

Meanwhile, Onimaru seized the opening, darting in and slicing cleanly through Grimm's torso, cutting him nearly in two!

"It's no use…"

Seeing Grimm severed at the waist, Garp showed no sign of joy — his expression grew only heavier and more grave.

Just as expected, Grimm's body knitted itself back together almost instantly. Hardly even a drop of blood was spilled.

Before Onimaru could follow up, Grimm materialized a Holy Light Spear and aimed it directly at the back of Onimaru's head!

"Onimaru! Watch your back!!" Momonga screamed a warning.

"Hm?"

Onimaru's eyes widened, but it was clearly too late to react.

"Yata no Kagami!"

Suddenly, a curved pillar of light appeared right in front of Grimm.

Before he could blink, Kizaru's tall figure emerged from the beam, stepping between Grimm and Onimaru to block the path.

WOOOM!

Hovering in mid‑air, Kizaru swung his leg downward in a blazing arc, disrupting Grimm's throw just as he was about to release the spear!

"Judgment!"

A two‑winged angel suddenly shot out from nowhere, grabbing Kizaru's leg mid‑kick.

Grimm took advantage of the split second, bringing his hammer crashing down onto Kizaru's shoulder and sending him flying backward!

Kizaru sailed hundreds of meters through the air before dissolving into particles of light to halt his momentum.

CRACK!

At that exact moment, fine fractures spread across Kizaru's sunglasses. A single drop of blood trickled down from beneath the lens.

"How very… ruthless…" Kizaru murmured, wiping the streak of blood from under his eyebrow with a finger.

THUD… THUD…

Heavy, rhythmic impacts shook the ground as the earth itself began to fracture.

Grimm felt his body become heavier and heavier, his weight skyrocketing until it felt as if gravity itself had multiplied. He lifted his head slowly, speaking two words through gritted teeth: "Issho…"

That guy Issho… his power really is absolutely infuriating!

"The outcome… will be decided in this single moment!"

About two hundred meters away, and to Grimm's right, Issho stood halfway up an iceberg. In one fluid motion, he drew his sword and unleashed a horizontal wave of purple energy!

"Gravity Blade: Tiger Fierce!"

The sword energy surged forward like a primal beast, pulling everything in its path into its gravitational field and growing heavier and more destructive with every meter it traveled.

By the time it reached Grimm, it carried enough force to split mountains and carve rivers!

The instant Grimm was swallowed by the wave of energy, Kuzan struck — his right arm transforming into an ice blade, wreathed in freezing mist. He lunged forward.

"No… don't even think about regenerating!"

"Ice Ice Bird Thrust!"

A massive bird of ice shrieked as it flew forward, striking from behind just as Issho's gravity blade hit from the front — a perfect pincer attack!

Purple and cyan energies exploded outward like a volcanic eruption.

The shockwave was so powerful that everyone nearby was forced to retreat, their Marine capes flapping wildly in the gale.

"AAAHHH…!"

Garp slapped his knee hard and stood up from his perch. He twisted his neck from side to side, loud cracking sounds echoing out.

BOOM… RUMBLE…

Half a minute passed before the massive shockwaves from Issho and Kuzan's combined assault finally settled.

As the smoke slowly cleared, Garp rested one hand on the back of his neck and tilted his head, looking utterly perplexed.

"How the hell do we kill this kid?!"

SWOOSH!

As if answering him, a blur of blazing motion tore through the remaining smoke. There stood Grimm, appearing almost like a phantom.

Two pairs of wings had unfurled from his back. One pair belonged to Avenging Wrath; the other seemed woven from streaks of pure radiance, expanding outward endlessly. His entire body burned with the appearance of bright red fire.

"Ara ara…" Kuzan leaned against a broken tree trunk nearby, letting out a dry laugh — sounding half‑mocking, half‑defeated.

"Even this isn't enough to finish him off… He's a monster… truly a monster…"

"Even so… we cannot give up…"

Issho leaped down from the mountainside, his blade drawn a third of the way from its sheath. "They say the darkest hour comes just before the dawn… well…"

A fleeting, distant look crossed Issho's face. "…though for an old man like me, it has been darkness all along!"

ROOOAARRR…

Suddenly, the "sun" hanging in the sky erupted with blinding radiance, focusing its light directly onto Grimm.

He closed his eyes and spread his arms wide, as if in supplication or prayer.

"His aura is changing! Everyone — on guard!!"

"High Heavens… hear my call!"

Grimm's eyes snapped open, glowing with piercing golden light. He shouted toward the sky:

"Gates of Paradise, open! Angel of the Ages — descend! Destroy every enemy before me! Purify all corruption… and fight for me!"

As he spoke, the light from the Sphere of Apocalypse above solidified, condensing into something tangible and heavy, as if the very essence of light was gathering power.

Instinct screaming at him of mortal danger, Garp ordered everyone to retreat and brace themselves.

No sooner had the command been given than countless golden arrows rained down from the solar orb, sweeping across the entire battlefield!

SWISH!

Suddenly, a streak of silver‑white light shot out from the golden radiance — so fast that even Garp was shocked.

It cut through the center of the battlefield, moving with speed that surpassed even Kizaru!

ZZZT‑ZZZT!

Where the beam passed, waves of silver pressure sliced everything in a straight line.

In the blink of an eye, it cut through soldiers who hadn't even realized what was happening, splitting them cleanly in two.

It pierced through the clouds, carved into the mountainside, and sliced the very peaks in half!

ZZZT!

Another blade of silver energy slashed toward a group of terrified Marines. Just as they froze in fear, a massive figure stepped between them and the attack.

Issho stood firm: right hand gripping the hilt, left hand holding the sheath. He met the silver slash with only a few inches of his blade exposed.

Pushed back two steps, he let out a roar of exertion and struck back with all his might — finally shattering the blade of light!

"WELL DONE!"

"INCREDIBLE!"

"AS EXPECTED OF ISSHO‑SAMA!"

But despite blocking the attack, Issho showed no sign of triumph. Instead, he lowered his head in deep thought.

"So powerful… and such speed… I have never heard of a swordsman capable of wielding energy so fast and so sharp in all my years…"

The silver light, having been halted by Issho's desperate defense, drifted upward and hovered in the air.

Only then did everyone see the true form of the silver radiance:

An angel clad head‑to‑toe in gleaming armor, like a war god descended from the heavens.

Standing over three meters tall, with wings of pure light and a massive greatsword in hand.

"I am the Angel of Justice… Tyrael."

The angel hovered upright, pointing his sword straight down toward the earth.

"Angel of Justice…?" Kuzan stood beside Kizaru and asked, "How does his speed compare to yours, Kizaru?"

"Terrifying… absolutely terrifying…" Kizaru narrowed his eyes, his gaze fixed entirely upon Tyrael, the Angel of Justice, repeating the same word over and over again.
