Chapter 107 - Chapter 107: The Temperance Faction Traitor

"Did you miss me?"

As she spoke, Altair's hand involuntarily began to stroke Irene's waist and abdomen.

Irene let out a soft "mm," and instantly blushed, lowering her head and not daring to look Altair in the eye.

As lunchtime approached, the closed doors of the study finally opened from the inside.

After opening the study door, Altair walked out carrying Vera, whose clothes were disheveled and face was pale.

After going downstairs, Altair considerately placed Vera in a seat at the dining table not far from her.

Then, she signaled the maids to add another set of food and utensils.

But before long, the scene of the two dining together was caught red-handed by Vivian, who had rushed back in a hurry.

Vivian did not immediately reprimand them for their intimate behavior. Instead, she asked Altair with urgent concern, "Are you alright? I only learned the news that you were attacked by a Werewolf last night after I went to the church stronghold this morning."

"Why didn't you tell me about something like this immediately?"

As she spoke, Vivian began to pummel Altair with her small fists to express her dissatisfaction and complaints.

————

In response to this, Altair simply pulled her into her arms to forcibly end her complaints.

Holding Vivian, Altair explained, "Am I not sitting safely in front of you now? Rest assured, I'm fine. I'm not missing an arm or a leg, and I don't even have a wound."

"Last night, it was just an unremarkable sequence seven who attacked us. For such trash, I didn't even get a chance to make contact before Simon handled him alone."

"And don't forget, I recently advanced to sequence six and became a Demoness of Pleasure."

"Even those in the same Sequence might not be able to beat me. If I encounter someone I can't beat, I'll just run away."

With Altair's explanation, Vivian, who had been frantic with worry, gradually calmed down.

She then said to a maid serving the meal, "Go tell the kitchen to prepare a lunch for me."

After the serving maid left, Vivian turned her gaze toward Irene, who was standing nearby. After looking her over, she said, "Come and sit."

Seeing Irene move slowly but normally, Vivian couldn't help but sigh to Altair, "I thought the little kitten had actually managed to steal a taste."

"I created such an opportunity for you, I really didn't expect you to be so useless."

After hearing the meaning behind Vivian's words, Altair turned her head awkwardly, not daring to look her in the eye.

If Altair had the ability to grow or shrink at will, she would definitely shrink right now and crawl into a crack in the floor, because the current situation was simply too embarrassing.

Seeing this, Vivian couldn't help but reach out and straighten Altair's head to face her, explaining sternly, "You are currently being influenced by the residual mental effects of the Pleasure potion."

"Look at you, does your current behavior still resemble that of a man?"

"I don't care what you thought before, but now you must do as I say."

After saying that, Vivian got up and pushed Irene down in front of Altair's table, saying, "If you still admit to being a man, you should take her right now, immediately."

Before Altair could react, Vivian involuntarily began to strip the clothes off Irene's body.

As she stripped her, she said, "This is what a man should do. If you only enjoy my body alone, you will surely get tired of it. You won't be able to stay firm in your conviction of being a man. As a man, you should conquer."

Looking at the scene before her, Altair was extremely helpless. To end the current situation, she directly hoisted Vivian up and carried her on her back to the third-floor bedroom.

Vivian, meanwhile, kept scolding from Altair's back. "Altair, you're really not a man! Put me down! Irene, follow us up!"

Altair responded with a chuckle, "Whether I'm a man or not, you'll find out soon enough."

At three in the afternoon, Altair met with Bishop Electra alone.

Once the servant had set down the black tea and withdrawn, Bishop Electra said, "Count Altair, other than the scratches on your hand, have you truly suffered no other injuries?"

"I can feel that your physical state is not very good, as if you are severely anemic."

"If there are large areas of trauma that are inconvenient for me to know about, I can specifically dispatch female clergy members to treat you after I return."

Altair shook her head and explained to Electra in a weak voice, "You misunderstand, Bishop. I indeed have not suffered any other injuries."

"The reason I am like this now is due to personal reasons, and I'm afraid those reasons are not convenient to disclose."

"Mhm." After listening to Altair's explanation, Electra did not open his mouth, making the sound directly from his throat.

After taking a sip of black tea, he explained as a matter of routine, "Count Altair, after we received your notification last night, we immediately sent a Beyonder squad to investigate."

"I now need to confirm with you that the people who attacked your convoy last night consisted only of three individuals: one Werewolf and two ordinary people infected with lycanthropy."

"The ordinary people died on the spot, and the Beyonder was captured by you. No other people or Beyonders appeared at the scene, correct?"

Hearing this, Altair nodded gently and said, "Indeed so."

After saying that, she asked curiously, "Did the Nighthawks not find the bodies of those two infected individuals?"

"Or was there some other development?"

"We found the bodies you mentioned," Electra said, then thought for a moment before adding, "and it wasn't just the bodies of those two."

"Not far away, we also found a Beyonder's body from which the characteristic had already been released and taken. According to our divination, this Beyonder was also a Werewolf."

"And next to this body, there was another Beyonder body currently releasing its characteristic."

"What's even more frightening is that not far from where the incident occurred, about five to six streets away, a great Beyonder battle broke out."

"And these people, without exception, were all Beyonders of the Mutant Pathway."

"You should be aware that most Beyonders who master this Pathway originate from the Southern Continent and are members of the Rose School of Thought."

"If possible, could you let me take that prisoner of yours? The Church needs to inquire about some matters through him."

Altair smiled and shook her head, explaining, "I'm afraid I cannot comply with that. He should be dead by now. But rest assured, after returning last night, I ordered my guards to interrogate him."

"If you need it, you can take a copy of the transcript."
