The next day…
At the clinic…
When Mila stepped into the restroom, a hand suddenly grabbed her arm and yanked her toward the back of the clinic.
"What the hell is this?" Mila hissed, struggling. "Let go of me, or I'll shout."
The woman spun around, but her grip remained firm on her arm. "Then shout. I'll also tell everyone you hurt my son."
"Excuse me?" Mila frowned, irritation flashing in her eyes. She jerked her arm free. "I've never seen someone this ungrateful. I saved him. And instead of thanking me, you're accusing me?"
"Stop pretending," the woman snapped. "I spoke to my son. He said a woman gave him chocolate. He didn't know it had nuts in it."
Her voice deepened with certainty. "Who else could it be if not you?"
Mila stared at her with disbelief.
"You targeted him on purpose," the woman continued. "If you have a problem with me, face me directly. Why drag an innocent child into this?"
Mila's thoughts flickered to Dominic's words from the night before.
