The car came to a halt in front of Vega Bio Corp.
Mila stepped out, her gaze lifting to the towering glass building. For a brief moment, emotion flickered in her eyes. Then her expression hardened with resolve.
She stepped forward, with Valentina following her.
They had barely reached the entrance when two guards stepped forward, blocking their path.
"Stop," one of them said bluntly. "You are not allowed inside. State your purpose."
Mila's expression turned cold. "I don't need to give you a reason for coming here. I'm the rightful heir of Vega Bio Corp., and I can be here anytime I want. You have no right to stop me."
The two guards exchanged a glance, then burst out laughing.
"If you are the heir, I'm the owner," the other one mocked. He waved his hand dismissively. "Get lost. Don't waste my time."
Valentina's eyes darkened instantly. She stepped forward, ready to act. But Mila raised her hand, stopping her.
"I'll handle this."
