At the Vega mansion…
The moment Mila stepped inside, Leonard's furious voice exploded.
"You have the nerve to fire me?"
Before anyone could react, he raised his hand and lunged forward to slap her.
Valentina moved faster. She caught his wrist mid-air.
In the next second, she shoved him back with force.
Leonard staggered, completely unprepared, and fell to the floor with a thud. Shock flashed across his face as he looked up at her.
"Touch her, and I'll kill you." Valentina pulled out a gun and pointed it at him.
Leonard's heart sank. His face paled in horror.
Camilla cried out and rushed to him, dropping to her knees. "Please don't hurt him," she begged. "Mila, he is your father. How can you let someone threaten him like this?"
"You?" Leonard was still shocked. "You brought a hooligan along and let her point a gun at your father?"
"Shut up," Valentina roared. "Your voice is grating on my nerves. One more ward and I'll shoot you."
Both froze instantly, hands raised in fear.
