He just wondered what she would look like after a full 1.3 million souls had been poured into her.

Benimaru and the others felt a sudden wave of drowsiness wash over them. But remembering that everything had been arranged beforehand, none of them fought it, and they simply sank to the ground one by one.
Kaito looked at the monsters lying all around him and quietly snickered to himself.
'I have to capture this. These are going to make for some very good blackmail material one day.'
He pulled out a camera, took to the sky, and began snapping photos from every angle. Kagaya and the others could only watch and shake their heads.
Not long after Benimaru and the others went under, Kaito sensed that Rimuru had already taken on a human form. He flashed back down to her side in an instant.
The Rimuru standing before him had grown from a young girl into a mature woman. The cute doll-like face he was familiar with had transformed into something strikingly beautiful. The only thing that hadn't changed was her figure, which was, regrettably, still the same modest size.
Rimuru's eyes slowly opened. Where Kaito expected to see familiar golden irises, he found red ones instead.
He understood immediately. Raphael was in control of the body right now. Rimuru's own consciousness was likely still deep in slumber.
"Notification! Master has completed Demon Lord Evolution and is currently in a deep slumber. Estimated time until awakening: one hour."
"The body is entrusted to Kaito-sama for the time being."
Kaito nodded.
"Got it. Leave it to me."
The moment he finished speaking, Rimuru's body tipped forward. Kaito stepped in and caught her without missing a beat.
"Heh-ho! This is much easier to carry."
He shifted his hold into a princess carry and looked down at the sleeping Rimuru. Then he turned to Kagaya.
"Everyone except Kanae and Shizu can head back. Sakuya and I will take Rimuru to her room to rest. I'll let you know when she wakes up."
"Kanae, Shizu, you two stay with me until she's up."
"Of course! I want to see Rimuru wake up safely with my own eyes!"
"Whatever Kai-chan says. Besides, Rimuru is so adorable. I want to be here for her!"
Kanae and Shizu agreed without a second thought.
"Alright, we'll head off then!"
Kagaya and the others nodded and made their way back.
Just as Kaito turned toward the house, a voice called out from behind.
"Esteemed Lord, might this humble servant be permitted to enter the house and guard his Master?"
Kaito stopped. He had completely forgotten about the demon he still hadn't dealt with. He turned around and looked at him properly for the first time, one of the very pinnacles of demonkind, a Primordial.
"I almost forgot about you. Fine, you can come in. But you stay in the main hall."
The Primordial's face lit up. He bowed deeply.
"Thank you most graciously! To be permitted to guard my Master from the floor below is more than enough for me!"
Kaito watched him and felt the corner of his mouth twitch. He had known for a while that this particular demon was a devoted Rimuru loyalist through and through. But seeing it up close still gave him a deeply surreal feeling.
It was like watching someone at the absolute peak of their world bow with total sincerity before someone who, by all reasonable measures, had only just gotten started. The sense of absurdity was truly something else.
"Alright, follow me in."
Kaito, carrying Rimuru, walked toward the house. Sakuya, Kanae, and Shizu followed behind him, and the Primordial hurried after them.

While the entire city was on full alert and every monster lay deep in slumber, a pink figure was cutting through the sky at high speed, heading straight for the city.
A wide, carefree grin was plastered across her face, and bursts of bright laughter trailed behind her as she flew.
