"Is Kaito-sama really alright? Like, does he have dissociative identity disorder or something?"

"I know a very good doctor in the human world, very authoritative in this area!"

Raphael, who had spent years active in the human world, asked cautiously.

Everyone present turned to look at him with flat expressions.

You, a Seraph, are telling me that dissociative identity disorder needs to be treated by a human doctor?

Your twelve-winged angel status must be fake. Hand in your badge and leave the group!

"Ahem… well, I wasn't sure if supernatural powers would work on something like this…"

"So I thought perhaps human treatment methods might have some effect!"

Seeing everyone staring at him, Raphael shrank his neck and mumbled softly.

"Raphael, stop embarrassing yourself. Go stand somewhere cool!"

Uriel covered his face helplessly, stepped behind Raphael, grabbed him by the collar, and began dragging him out.

"Hey, hey, hey! Uriel, let go of me! I was joking, I really was joking, please let me go!"

Click… Bang!

The door closed. Uriel clapped his hands lightly, then smiled at Kaito and the others.

"Haha, Kaito-sama, the useless fellow has been dealt with. Shall we continue?"

Kaito stared blankly at the closed door for a moment, then nodded.

He genuinely hadn't expected there to be such a comical angel. There weren't many descriptions of Raphael in the original work, so he wasn't sure if this was his true personality.

But one thing was certain: Raphael's energy would fit right in at the Jura Tempest Federation.

"Ahem, back to the main topic. What is your decision?"

Hearing Kaito's question, Michael, Uriel, and Gabriel each knelt on one knee, right hand pressed to their chests, and saluted.

"We have decided to accept your request. As long as you can revive our Lord, we angels swear eternal loyalty to you!"

"Oh? So your main goal is the resurrection. If my commands ever conflict with your Lord's commands, whose will you follow?"

Kaito didn't take their words at face value and pressed further.

"Yours. Angels are incredibly loyal to their vows. Having pledged allegiance to you, we will never waver."

"We believe our Lord would forgive us for this."

Michael's face was full of solemn conviction as he spoke.

After he finished, Kaito activated his [Eye of Identification].

'He really wasn't lying. Loyalty is very high. The missing ten points must be because I haven't saved that god yet!'

'Strength is barely acceptable… After some training back in the Jura Tempest Federation, they'll make excellent general candidates!'

"Haha, rise! If you truly wish to pledge allegiance, we can settle that after I save your god."

Kaito looked over the stat panels with satisfaction, then extended his right hand, signaling for the three to stand.

Since they weren't playing games with him, he'd uphold the attitude of: you respect me a foot, I'll respect you a yard.

He'd go revive that god right now.

'Eh? Speaking of resurrections, Tanjiro came to see me a couple of days ago. I promised to revive his father.'

'I almost forgot. I'll make time to head to the Demon Slayer world when we get back.'

"Let's go. We'll save her first!"

"Really, Kaito-sama!"

"That's wonderful!"

"Thank you so much, Kaito-sama!"

Bang…

Everyone turned to look speechlessly at Raphael, who had burst through the door, crashed to the floor, and was now staring up at them from the ground.

"Um… are we going to revive the Lord? That's wonderful!"

"Perhaps you should stand up first?"

"Yes, Kaito-sama! I'm just too excited!"

Hearing Kaito's words, Raphael scrambled to his feet, eyes bright with excitement.

"Haha, I understand, I understand."

Seeing his reaction, Kaito found himself thinking of Sakazuki, a hardened man who had cried uncontrollably while holding his revived sister, completely forgetting his own image.

It just goes to show that everyone carries someone irreplaceable in their heart.

"Let's go quickly…"

"Yes! *4"

Their figures vanished from the spot and reappeared on the Celestial System Platform.

"Stand back! I'm about to show off!"

Kaito struck a pose, then placed his hand on the orb of light.

Just as he was about to proceed, as if remembering something, he turned back to Michael and the others.

"This old thing of yours has been broken for a long time. If it doesn't work, that has nothing to do with me! And don't even think about coming after me for compensation. I won't acknowledge it!"

Seeing Kaito still haggling over liability at a moment like this, all four of them went flat-faced.

"Please do as you wish. As long as the Lord is revived, building an entirely new system is no issue."

"Words aren't enough. Better to leave some evidence."

Kaito produced his trusty camera and snapped a photo of the orb of light.

"Kai-chan, what's the point of just photographing the outside of something this mysterious!"

"Urusai! This is evidence!"

Hearing Rimuru, Kaito shot back in embarrassment.

"Alright, alright, whatever makes you happy!"

Kaito put the camera away, extended his right hand, and began to murmur.

"Soul, come back! Do you know how long I've been waiting? Like a stone waiting for her husband to return from sea, I've nearly worn my eyes out. What are you still wandering around out there for?"

"Are you lost? This world is neither large nor small, but you can't just drift around aimlessly like this…"

Rimuru and the others listened with blank expressions. Where did he even get those lines?

Couldn't he just revive her directly? He had to add a whole speech, and the worst part was that it had absolutely no cultural depth whatsoever.

Meanwhile, Michael and the other three hung on every word Kaito uttered.

"A stone waiting for her husband… could it be that the Lord and Kaito-sama have something going on?"

Raphael asked Uriel beside him, looking genuinely puzzled.

"You shut up!"

Uriel's face darkened immediately.

Something going on? If there was something going on, the Lord wouldn't have died in the first place. And wasn't Raphael basically blaspheming the Lord right now?

Damn it, is this guy about to Fall?

While those two were still lost in their own thoughts, Kaito had already reached the end of his speech.

"So, soul, come back. Right now. Immediately!"

"Revive! My Lady!"

For some reason, the moment those words left his mouth, Rimuru felt something compel her to interject:

"Fight for you, my warrior…"
