Since the cultivator Xia Yu shared the Foundation Establishment Realm with them, they have developed many more skills.
Among them, the most useful is Divine Sense perception. With powerful mental energy as a foundation, the range of Divine Sense perception is immense, and it is far more effective than simple mental perception.
As the Divine Sense expanded, detailed information flooded into Xia Yu's mind.
After filtering out a vast amount of useless information, a 3D map-like layout of New York formed in his mind, and he even captured the figure swinging through the air.
"Good luck."
Xia Yu grinned; he hadn't expected to find Spidey so easily.
Having confirmed the distance and location, Xia Yu withdrew his Divine Sense perception and then drew a circle with one hand, causing a portal to appear.
Stepping through, Xia Yu arrived atop another tall building. Not far away, the figure in the White Spider suit was swinging through the skyscrapers.
Seeing Spider-Man, Xia Yu waited for a moment. Once Spider-Man had swung further away, he casually cast a Breath Concealment Technique on himself and quietly followed.
Although Peter Parker in marvel's Spider-Man is a "failure of a man," he is also a true hero; Xia Yu wanted to change this hero's tragedy.
However, tragedies that have already occurred cannot be changed, such as the death of Little Black Spider's father.
After traversing about half the city, Spider-Man finally stopped in front of a tall building. Seeing this, Xia Yu followed quietly.
Since Spider-Sense only detects hostile presences and he was using the Breath Concealment Technique as cover, Spider-Man was completely unaware that someone had been following him.
Seeing that he wasn't noticed, Spider-Man ducked into a nearby alley. A moment later, Peter Parker emerged, wearing a white lab coat.
He then entered the building, went to the elevator, and pressed the button for his desired floor.
Dr. Otto had just called to tell him that their research on mechanical prosthetics had made a significant breakthrough, so he had quickly donned his Spider-suit and rushed over as Spider-Man.
This breakthrough was partly due to his own efforts, making Peter Parker feel for the first time that he could benefit humanity with the power of "Peter Parker" rather than "Spider-Man."
Waiting for the elevator to descend, Peter Parker suppressed his anxious mood, using the time to steady his heart rate from the rush.
*Ding~*
As the elevator chimed, Peter Parker hurried inside. A moment later, he reached the floor of Dr. Otto's laboratory.
However, just as he stepped out of the elevator, he looked toward the side corridor with some confusion; he had just felt as if someone were watching him.
"It must be my imagination."
Peter Parker shook his head. This was an important moment; he couldn't be late.
On the other side, Xia Yu leaned against the wall at the corner, closing his eyes and concealing his breath. Only after sensing that Peter Parker hadn't noticed him did he open his eyes.
"Tsk, as expected of the unreasonable Spider-Sense, being so sensitive even to a gaze."
While Peter Parker was in the elevator, Xia Yu had arrived at the floor ahead of him and watched as Peter emerged.
Then he saw Peter Parker suddenly turn his head as if he had discovered him.
It wasn't the time to meet yet, so he withdrew his gaze, and the other party dismissed it as a hallucination.
Sensing Peter Parker enter the lab, Xia Yu didn't follow him inside. After all, Divine Sense perception allowed him to see everything in the lab without being easily detected.
Besides Dr. Otto, there was a disabled volunteer with an amputated arm in the lab, looking at Dr. Otto's operations with anticipation.
"Parker, you're here." Hearing the door open, Otto looked back and greeted him with a smile.
"Yes, Doctor, I'm here to help."
Seeing Dr. Otto adjusting the mechanical prosthetic, Peter Parker hurried forward to assist him.
Before long, the mechanical prosthetic was adjusted. Under the volunteer's expectant gaze, the two followed the steps to install the mechanical arm.
"How do I use this?" the volunteer asked nervously, looking at the mechanical arm attached to his stump.
"Just like a real arm. Think about what you want to do, and then..."
Dr. Otto gestured toward a water cup on the table. Seeing this, the volunteer took a deep breath and focused his thoughts.
Under the expectant eyes of the three, the black mechanical arm moved. Like a normal arm with a slight delay, it grasped the water cup and lifted it.
"Great!"
Dr. Otto smiled, and Peter Parker beside him laughed as well. They had succeeded; the mechanical prosthetic was a success!
But in the next moment, the unexpected happened.
As the sound of the lab door opening rang out again, a group of people dressed in black suddenly walked in.
They stepped into the lab recklessly, completely ignoring the three people conducting the experiment.
"Who are you?" Seeing this, Peter Parker rushed forward to stop them.
But a woman in black showed him a document: "This location has been declared a safety hazard."
While the woman in black explained, her accomplices had already begun carrying the precious experimental equipment out.
Seeing this, Dr. Otto hurried forward to stop them: "Stop immediately! These are very delicate instruments."
But no one paid him any attention. Dr. Otto said irritably, "Enough! I'm calling the Mayor's office directly."
But just then, a troublemaker's voice rang out.
"Peter Parker! How are you doing?" Norman Osborn suddenly appeared and greeted Peter Parker.
"Speak of Cao Cao, and Cao Cao arrives," Dr. Otto muttered.
Norman Osborn ignored Dr. Otto's muttering and instead opened his arms to welcome Peter Parker.
Seeing this, Peter Parker hurried forward: "Mr. Osborn, what's going on?"
"Come on, how long have we known each other?" Norman Osborn patted Peter Parker's shoulder. "Call me Mr. Mayor."
Hearing this, Peter Parker's expression froze. Norman Osborn laughed, "Just a joke. Just call me Norman."
"Norman, do you know what you're doing?"
Looking at Norman Osborn's posture, Dr. Otto suppressed his anger and looked over with a low voice.
"Of course. The grant contract you signed has very strict safety regulations, and this isn't the first time you've been in violation."
Norman Osborn took a superior stance, looking at Dr. Otto's expression and chuckling. "We should have confiscated these devices long ago."
"But we've already had a major breakthrough!" Otto said urgently.
"So what?" Norman Osborn revealed a cunning smile, tearing away his previous hypocrisy. "Of course, if you still want to continue your research, you can come to my Oscorp Industries. My company always welcomes you."
Looking at the Norman Osborn who had revealed his true colors, Dr. Otto's face darkened. "You haven't changed a bit."
"Aren't you the same?"
With that, Norman Osborn waved his hand and left with his subordinates, taking all the research equipment with them.
This won't do, this won't do; I can't keep posting right at the deadline. If I keep doing this, something will go wrong eventually.
