Meanwhile, Ivan sat on a chair by the table in his room, thinking about the things Ishan had said.
Ivan thought that Dad was already scared, so scaring him further wouldn't be right. From now on, asking him any questions about Amardeep wouldn't be a good idea either; otherwise, things could turn ugly.
However, considering what he had done, this was quite minimal. Still, he felt that asking him too many questions wouldn't be the right thing to do.
Then he thought that he should sleep for now, and he drifted off to sleep.
A little while later, husband and wife, Ishan and Myra, both fell asleep as well. But after falling asleep, Ishan saw Amardeep in his dream.
The moment he saw him, Ishan's body began to tremble. Amardeep was emerging from inside the same hut where the three of them had left his corpse ten years ago before fleeing.
He was coming out slowly, wearing a terrifying smile.
Seeing him, Ishan's body was shaking violently. His body was trembling in real life too, right where Myra was sleeping beside him, though she was in a very deep sleep.
Inside the dream, Amardeep was smiling as he approached Ishan. Slowly, Ishan thought that he needed to run away from there, but apart from shivering, his body refused to support him.
Coming close to Ishan, Amardeep asked, "How are you, Ishan?"
Paralyzed by fear, Ishan couldn't even muster a reply.
Then Amardeep said, "What did you think, you would get away with it?"
Then he said angrily, "You snatched away my entire life, and now you expect to be happy? After ruining my life, I will never let that happen. I too wanted to live like you guys, I wanted to be happy. Because of one small mistake, you killed me."
"I will torture you to death, and after that, I will also kill your son Ivan and your wife Myra."
With great difficulty, Ishan managed to open his mouth and said, "Forgive me, I made a huge mistake."
Hearing Ishan's words, Amardeep angrily grabbed his throat and said, "Forgive you? A mistake? After killing you, I will say the exact same thing to you—forgive me, I made a mistake. Will that be okay with you?"
Then Amardeep removed his hand from Ishan's throat, and Ishan immediately grabbed Amardeep's feet, begging for forgiveness.
"Forgive me, I made a mistake. If you have a family, I will take care of them for my entire life. Just forgive me and spare my life."
Ishan pleaded, "You must have a mother, a sister, or a brother. I will look after them for my entire life, just don't kill me."
Amardeep replied, "I only want one thing."
Trembling and crying, Ishan asked, "What do you want? Just don't kill me."
Amardeep answered, "I want my life back. I want to live again, to enjoy life. I wanted to do so much in life, but you didn't let me. Can you give me my life back?"
Crying, Ishan said, "Ask for something else—money, land, property, I am ready to give you everything."
Amardeep grabbed Ishan by the hair, pulled him up to stand straight, and then let go of his hair.
And he said, "Vikas, Arya, and you, all three of you went to a Sorcerer, didn't you? If you want to stay alive, tell me what that Sorcerer said to you guys."
"Otherwise, along with you, I will kill your son and wife too."
Ishan thought to himself, "His motive is to torture me to death. If I want to stay alive, it is better not to tell him what the Sorcerer said."
"I need to get out of this dream, quickly!"
Ishan knew he was dreaming, but everything felt completely real to him. Amardeep grabbing his throat, forcefully pulling his hair—all of it felt genuine, yet he knew it was only a dream.
Amardeep was demanding, "If you want to stay alive, tell me! How does that Sorcerer want to kill me? And do you want to kill me again?"
Then Amardeep grabbed Ishan's throat, lifted him up into the air, and said, "Speak up! Answer me."
And right at that moment, his wife Myra woke him up from the dream.
Even after waking up, Ishan's body was still trembling.
Myra asked, "What happened? What did you see in your dream?"
Seeing Ishan's trembling body, Myra had grown terrified as well. Ishan didn't give her any answer.
Then Myra asked, "What did you see, tell me! Ishan, why are you silent?"
Myra asked again, "Did you see Amardeep in the dream?"
Trembling, Ishan replied, "Yes, it was Amardeep."
Myra asked once more, "What did you see in the dream?"
Ishan gave no answer.
Myra said, "Are you going to say something or not?"
Ishan said, "Forget all this, just go back to sleep."
