Chapter 110 - Chapter 110: The War of Destiny and Belief

The Wound in Reality

The crack remained.

Suspended in the center of the world like an unhealed scar.

Silent.

Still.

Yet deeply unsettling.

Within it—

A presence waited.

Not fully born.

Not fully aware.

But growing.

The Fear of the Two Truths

Ignis and

Vernix

stood side by side.

For the first time—

Both recognized the consequence of their conflict.

Not destruction.

But absence.

A place where neither truth could exist.

Aetherion spoke with urgency.

"…If this grows…"

"…the world itself will be erased."

But the people had already chosen sides.

Those devoted to Fate declared:

"Certainty is the only path."

Those devoted to Faith declared:

"Possibility must never be denied."

Neither side was entirely wrong.

That made the conflict worse.

Words turned into battles.

Cities aligned with different principles.

Some surrendered to predetermined outcomes.

Others fought to change what seemed inevitable.

The world that had once flourished—

Began to fracture.

Ignis walked among those who sought order.

Its flame calmed fear and enforced structure.

Vernix descended to those who still believed in miracles.

Its light inspired courage and resistance.

Neither wanted war.

Yet both empowered it.

The crack widened.

Each clash of certainty and belief sent more energy into the void.

The darkness grew.

An eye opened.

Then another.

Watching.

Learning.

Waiting.

Aetherion stood before the growing wound.

"…I created order…"

"…and invited hope…"

"…but I never taught them to coexist."

Fate without Faith became tyranny.

Faith without Fate became recklessness.

One bound the world too tightly.

The other stretched it beyond reason.

Together—

They were meant to complement each other.

But only if guided.

Aetherion summoned Ignis and Vernix.

"You are not enemies."

"You are halves of the same truth."

For a moment—

The two legendary beings understood.

Flame and light intertwined.

The world steadied.

But it was too late.

The void had absorbed too much.

The crack erupted.

Reality split open.

From the darkness emerged a colossal presence.

An eye larger than mountains.

A body formed from emptiness itself.

The consequence of unresolved truths.

Abyssion

Its cry contained no sound—

Only loss.

Mountains dissolved.

Stars dimmed.

The world trembled.

Ignis unleashed flames of certainty.

Vernix answered with wings of pure belief.

Together they struck the abyss.

But Abyssion could not be defeated.

Because it was not an invader.

It was a consequence.

Aetherion stepped forward.

"…Then the world itself must change."

He looked at Ignis and Vernix.

"…Not victory."

"…Balance."

If Fate and Faith could remain in harmony—

The abyss would be contained.

Not destroyed.

Held in equilibrium.

Ignis and Vernix rose into the heavens.

Aetherion stood beneath them—

Preparing to attempt what no being had ever done.

To create balance itself.

The sky burned and shone at once—

As Aetherion whispered:

"Tomorrow… either the world is saved…"

"…or all truths vanish together."

And the journey continues....
