Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: The Bank Run

[Target Assimilated: 1x Dormant Soul (Rin Kurosawa).] [Current Stack: 1 Mythic Chest, 6 Fragments, 2,700 Tokens, 75,000 Vita-Fragments, 1 Hydro-Core, 1 Tear, 3 Dev-Strings, 1 Platinum Keycard, 1 Soul.] [Multiplier: 1.65% - ILLEGAL THRESHOLD BYPASSED] [Vault Pressure: 50%!!! FATAL OVERLOAD IMMINENT.]

The moment Rin's prism entered the Vault, the physical laws of Floor 50 completely shattered.

Yuto fell to his knees, screaming as the 50% Vault Pressure hit his nervous system like a supernova. His veins glowed a violent, radioactive purple. But he wasn't dying—the sheer, unadulterated mass of his hoarded wealth had crossed a conceptual threshold. He had become an absolute singularity.

The infinite white room began to violently crack. The pristine glass floor shattered, and the white walls were sucked inward toward Yuto, turning the room into a swirling vortex of black, unrendered void.

Director-General Mammon lost his composure. His flawless white suit glitched, and his human face melted away, revealing a terrifying, multi-dimensional geometric entity made of pure, raw debt-code.

"YOU FOOL!" Mammon's voice boomed, echoing like a collapsing star. "You have absorbed an active debt! The server cannot reconcile your mass! You are crashing the Babel System!"

"Good!" Kurenai roared. The Oni didn't hesitate. She used the chaotic, crushing gravity radiating from Yuto to launch herself forward like a cannonball, entirely offline. She drove her knee directly into Mammon's geometric chest, cracking his admin-shield.

"We are the Vanguard!" Ayase shouted. She sprinted across the shattering glass floor, her silver wireframe katana moving faster than the server could render. She slashed upward, severing one of Mammon's glowing code-arms through pure, physical kinetic transfer.

"I'm not a slave anymore!" Isabella screamed, her red hair whipping in the gravity storm. She didn't spend a single token. She channeled her absolute, unwavering loyalty into her twin blades and plunged them directly into Mammon's back.

The CEO shrieked in digital agony, throwing the three girls back with a shockwave of administrative force.

"I will delete your accounts!" Mammon roared, raising his remaining arm. A massive, apocalyptic red prompt appeared above his head: [Initiating Server Wipe: CHAPTER 11 BANKRUPTCY.] If he cast it, everything—the Vanguard, Yuto, and the Vault—would be permanently erased.

But Yuto was already standing.

He didn't look human anymore. He was a silhouette of blinding, pressurized starlight. He walked toward the CEO, the fractured reality of the penthouse bending around his every step.

"You don't get to declare bankruptcy," Yuto whispered. The sound of his voice caused the holographic screens around them to violently explode.

Yuto pulled his right arm back. The entire Vault—the 75,000 Fragments, the Mythic Chest, the Boss Cores, and the 1.65% compound interest—funneled directly into his knuckles.

"Withdrawal," Yuto said.

Mammon looked at the incoming fist. For the first time since the Tower was created, the CEO of the Babel System felt the one thing he had designed his economy to prevent. He felt poor.

"Bank Run," Yuto roared.

He punched Mammon square in the center of his geometric mass.

The impact did not make a sound. The offline density was so astronomical that it completely bypassed the server's audio rendering. Mammon's administrative shields didn't break; they were conceptually overwritten by cold, hard cash.

The CEO of the Babel System violently imploded, collapsing in on himself before detonating into a pillar of blinding, golden light that pierced straight down through the ceiling of Floor 50, cascading through every single floor of the Tower below.

[CRITICAL SERVER FAILURE.] [Director-General Mammon Liquidated.] [The Zenith Bank is Insolvent.]

Yuto stood in the center of the collapsing void, his right arm smoking, his breathing finally beginning to steady as the oppressive Vault Pressure began to stabilize its new reality.

He looked back at Isabella, Kurenai, Ayase, and a weeping Shion.

"Come on," Yuto said, a faint, genuine smile crossing his exhausted face. "Let's go cash out."
