Chapter 40 - Anger

"I think we are in trouble," Nova says while looking outside the destroyed door.

Sara walks in with a smile that sends shivers down everyone's spine, holding a blade made of spiral energy. Helios throws the diary to Nova, and Nova catches it.

"Well, see you guys later," Riku says while summoning his artefact and slipping into the shadows to escape.

"No one is going anywhere," Sara says while using her artefact. She rewinds time on Riku, forcing him to repeat the same thing—summoning his artefact and going into the shadows—until Helios stops him.

"Why are you stopping me, Leader? I'm not going to die with you guys," Riku says.

"Riku, Sara has you in a loop," Helios explains. "So, Sara, what brings you here? I hope you had a nice mission," Helios adds with a smile on his face.

"I'm missing something, Leader," Sara says in a calm tone. Nova quickly hides Sara's diary behind himself.

"Nova, what's behind you?" Sara asks, looking at him suspiciously.

"Nothing! It's just a dog... I know how much you hate dogs, sister. I'm a good brother, right?" Nova says.

"Lies! I saw the Leader throw my diary to you!" Sara hisses out in a frustrated voice.

Nova throws the diary to Rio, and it lands on his pillow artefact. "It was Rio that went into your office and got it! You can ask anyone!" Nova says, pointing at Rio.

"Rio doesn't even know I have a diary. Only you know about that," Sara says.

"What part of being a brother did I fail at that you have to blame me for everything that happens in your life?" Nova asks in a dramatic voice.

"Every part! Including the part about loving me. You were a horrible brother," Sara says in a frustrated tone.

"Family drama," Riku says, showing interest.

"Fine, since it's come to this point, let's just ask her," Helios says in a nervous voice.

"Ask me what?" Sara asks in a questioning tone, looking at Helios.

"Is the Leader going to say it?" Ray asks in a teasing voice.

"Do you... like me, Sara?" Helios stammers out in a nervous voice.

Sara turns her face away, her long white hair hiding her expression, though she can't hide her blushing. "We can talk about that once we are done dealing with the royal family problems," Sara says in a shy voice.

"The Leader might be dead by then because of the assassin organization that is out for his life," Nova adds.

"Assassins? What assassins?" Sara asks in a worried tone.

"Don't worry about it; they are too weak to kill me," Helios says. "So, what was the mission you went on?" Helios asks in a cautious voice.

"I went on an investigation about the Morpeth we encountered. It seems like it's connected to an organization called 'Principal of the Eclipse,'" Sara says, pulling a piece of paper out of her pocket. It shows a half-eclipse with a sword in the middle.

"That's a great drawing," Nova says in a sarcastic tone.

"Shut up, you fox-masked idiot!" Sara shouts in frustration. "That's all the information I've got."

"I have some information about this organization," Nova says, looking at the piece of paper.

"How? We just started investigating it," Helios asks Nova.

"I started investigating it a long time ago, but it's really hard to get information out of them. They bite their tongues so they die," Nova says, remembering the man who bit his tongue off.

"What information do you have?" Helios asks, his voice full of curiosity.

"I found out a few things. They follow the orders of a woman they call 'Queen,' and it seems like she might be a Seeker—and a powerful one," Nova says. "They also have a close relationship with the royal family."

"So the royal family is helping an organization bring Morpeths into the kingdom? Why?" Helios asks.

"Maybe they want the kingdom to dissolve into chaos so normal people start knowing about the Seekers and the Veiled World," Seer says.

Wait, if the royal family does that, won't everyone die or turn into Morpeths? Like the old Helios... he died because of knowing about the Veiled World, Helios thinks.

"Are the people in the royal family crazy?" Helios says aloud.

"I'm part of the royal family and I'm not crazy," Seer says in an annoyed tone.

"Lie," Riku says, and Seer playfully punches his arm.

"If Principal of the Eclipse are the masterminds, they won't stop at anything to get what they want," Nova says. "Even if it means millions die."

"Wait, if you said they won't stop at anything and they might be the ones targeting the Leader, doesn't that mean...?" Rio says.

Everyone looks at Helios with worried gazes.

"What? Why are you guys looking at me?" Helios says in a confused voice.

"Leader, is Luna okay?" Sara asks, looking at Helios.

The room suddenly turns cold and Helios's eyes start glowing. "She must be home by now," Helios says, standing up and walking out of the office. Everyone follows him.

They reach Helios's place and rush inside. "Luna!" Helios shouts, his voice echoing around the mansion.

"Master Helios, Lady Luna still isn't home yet," the butler says while running down the stairs.

"What do you mean she isn't home yet?" Helios asks in an angry tone.

"Her car came back without her, but the driver had this letter. He died right when he gave it to us," the butler says in a shaking voice.

Helios opens the letter. It says: Greetings, Leader of Blackthorn. It seems like I have something of yours. If you want it back, come and get it.

Suddenly, Helios's ability, Tyrant Pressure, activates. The force is so immense that everyone in the mansion is pinned to the ground.

"Are we going to die?" Nova asks in a shaking voice.
