The trap arrived in the duke's courtyard and a guard opened the door for Cassian.
Cassian got out first, then held his hand out to Chester.
"I'm good," Chester said, climbing down without taking Cassian's hand.
Cassian clenched his jaw and turned to Leonard. "Get out." He ordered.
Leonard gulped and nodded. Slowly, he climbed down, glancing around the place he had left for months now.
"Walk," Cassian said, his eyes searching for Chester, who was nowhere to be found.
He walked behind Leonard and into the grand hall.
"Cassian," Rowena called, stepping down from the stairs.
Cassian paused, standing in front of Leonard. "Your Majesty." He bowed.
Rowena stared at Leonard with recognition. "Are you not the new cook? Did you decide to return to Valemont?" She questioned.
