As soon as the words fell, Damon and Crobat moved at the same time.
Red and Pidgeot also rushed forward to counterattack.
What surprised most Trainers was that not only were the two Pokémon battling in the air above, but Red and Damon, as Trainers, were fighting each other as well.
"Impressive equipment. It can actually offset part of my psychic power!" Red praised.
"This is the masterpiece of Professor Hemlock, the top figure in Team Rocket's research field! It was made specifically to deal with psychic-types like you!" Damon said smugly.
Although part of Red's psychic power was restricted, one must not forget that Red himself possessed a physique far beyond that of ordinary people. His own strength was enough to easily contend with the adult Damon, and with skill alone he could trade blows evenly.
The clash between Aura Resonance and Killing Intent Domain sent shockwaves through the surroundings, cracking the walls of nearby buildings. Even the equipment placed around them was faintly affected by the magnetic field.
"There's an opening!" Damon seized the opportunity, dagger in hand, intending to deliver a fatal strike to Red.
"Unfortunately, that was intentional…" Red said calmly. He lowered his body to evade the stab, swiftly gathered an Aura Sphere in both hands, and struck Damon directly in the abdomen.

The power of Aura Sphere made Damon spit out blood. Red did not relent. With a flying kick to Damon's chin, he sent him flying more than ten meters away.
"Did you really think you could stall me?" Red said coldly. "For someone like you whose hands are stained with Pokémon blood, I don't have the slightest bit of goodwill!"
Seeing this, Crobat in the air immediately tried to assist its master, but the ever-intensifying Pidgeot would never allow Crobat to interfere so easily.

Pidgeot let out a piercing cry that echoed all around, transforming into a streak of golden lightning as it circled Crobat at high speed. It unleashed a Tornado, trapping Crobat within the storm, then followed up with Quick Attack, overwhelming Crobat with continuous assaults.
"Red, leave this to me!"
A gentle voice sounded. Red turned his head and saw the 'cold beauty' Sabrina rushing over, urging him to hurry and save Silph Co. instead of being delayed here by Damon.
"I'm counting on you, Sabrina!" Red said, mounting Pidgeot and swiftly leaving the scene.
"Don't worry, I won't disappoint you…" Sabrina nodded shyly, watching Red depart.
"The Gym Leader of Saffron City, Sabrina. I didn't expect you to stand against Team Rocket!" Damon said coldly as he stood up, wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. He pulled out a painkiller injection and stabbed it into his body, letting out a long breath afterward.
"I thought inviting you to join Team Rocket would get a response, but you ignored it. To dare reject Giovanni-sama's recognition—what an ignorant woman!"
"Ignorant woman? You despicable bastard!"
Damon's perfectly placed insult instantly ignited Sabrina's fury. Fortunately, she saw that Red and Pidgeot had already left. With no need to maintain her image, Sabrina decided to make Damon fully experience the power of psychic abilities.
"I'm counting on you, Kadabra!" Sabrina shouted, throwing her Poké Ball!
The released Kadabra immediately used Psychic, seizing control of Crobat above who was attempting to fly. As a Poison-type, Crobat was doubly restrained by Kadabra's psychic power. With Sabrina synchronizing her mental strength with Kadabra, Crobat was completely suppressed.
Red arrived at the room where Pokémon were being held. Pidgeot unleashed Hurricane from above, defeating the Team Rocket members who tried to resist. Red then threw the Poké Ball of his crimson Gyarados, ordering it to use Crunch to destroy the cages imprisoning the Pokémon.
"Everyone, hurry and escape! Someone will meet you outside!" Red shouted.
The freed Pokémon immediately fled their cages. After casting grateful looks at Red for a moment, they disappeared from sight.
Red then instructed Pidgeot to deal with nearby Team Rocket members while he ran alone to the secret chamber where the researchers were confined, rescuing them all from house arrest.
After saving the Pokémon and researchers, Red rushed to the top-floor president's office. Pushing the door open, he saw Giovanni, dressed in a black suit with an "R" emblem on his left chest, calmly admiring the nighttime view of Saffron City through the glass window. Beside him, his assistant was threatening the president of Silph Co. to sign a contract.
"The Gym Leader of… no, the Leader of Team Rocket… Giovanni!" Red said calmly, showing no surprise at Giovanni's appearance.
"The boy from Pallet Town. It seems you're not too surprised about my true identity. The commotion downstairs was caused by you, wasn't it? As expected of the genius who has given me headaches time and again!"
Reluctantly tearing his gaze away from the night view, Giovanni met Red's eyes and leisurely walked to the president of Silph Co., saying slowly,
"I'm currently discussing business with the president of Silph Co. Shouldn't children avoid interrupting the world of adults?"
"Business? Don't call it taking advantage of a crisis!" the president of Silph Co. retorted. Yet under the pressure of Giovanni and Team Rocket, he remained in place, preparing to sign the contract.

The assistant hurriedly presented the small case containing Giovanni's Poké Balls. As Giovanni selected his Pokémon, the assistant asked in confusion,
"Giovanni-sama, why bother? He's just a child. There's no need to pay him any attention!"
"He is no ordinary child!" Giovanni took two Poké Balls, meeting Red's burning gaze. "He's a brat who stimulates my nerves and dares to be arrogant!"

Red and Giovanni simultaneously threw two Poké Balls each. Dragon-Scaled Charizard and crimson Gyarados entered the field, while Giovanni sent out Nidoking and Nidoqueen.
"It seems your strength has grown rapidly!" Giovanni praised, clearly sensing the extraordinary power of Charizard and crimson Gyarados.
"Roar—!"
Crimson Gyarados let out a roar first, forcibly lowering the Attack of Nidoking and Nidoqueen. Immediately after, Nidoking's eyes turned red, murky breaths escaping from its mouth. As its muscles swelled, its Rivalry Ability was activated.

Crimson Gyarados lashed its tail at Nidoking first. Seeing Nidoking's horn glowing green with poison energy, Gyarados altered its own attribute, reducing the power of Megahorn by half.
"It seems your Gyarados can freely control its own power now!" Giovanni said calmly. After noticing the change in crimson Gyarados' skin tone, he immediately analyzed the situation.
