The man known as the perfect lifeform before the dawn of aether.
Born a royal, he was the eldest son of the past king and the elder brother of the current one.
He had the features of a leader, courage decisiveness, resourcefulness and tactical prowess.
But he had none of the elegance that was attributed to royalty.
From a young age he frolicked with commoners, caring not about the social ladder.
Sometimes he would even venture out to the second sector just to meet them.
In his twenties, he left his duties as the crowned prince to travel around the empire; he had no interests in the throne.
He enjoyed brawls and physical activities, even frequenting the illegal fight dungeons of the 3rd sector; he never lost.
He helped out in villages, even once wrestling a bear that attacked a farmers sheep; he came out on top.
His reputation only grew positively, he was loved by the people.
Now in his mid thirties he was done exploring the sectors, so returned to the palace.
He was handed the crowned prince position once more on a platter; He refused.
In his late thirties he found himself bored within the confinement of the castle, so he requested something from his father the king.
The king was overjoyed, for the first time his son wanted something from him.
He also had hoped he was there to ask for the crown prince position, only to be backhanded by shock.
His son said;
"I'm going to join the army, but I want no support from the household nor any influence on my ranks.
I will renounce the family name if I catch wind of any string pulling."
It came off as a threat; it was.
In the army, he started as a trainee to the shock of everyone, he was the oldest trainee in history.
Some mocked him, others were inspired by him, while others were confused as to why.
He consistently achieved good results on his missions, and his consistency led to him climbing up the ranks.
By his mid forties he was already a commander, the highest rank at the time.
Even as a commander he still hanged around the lower ranks at the army.
He caught wind of a revolution stirring up.
Then he proceeded to lead 15 men into a fight against a hundred revolutionaries; they came out victorious without a single casualty.
"Heaven on earth" The soldiers had began to call him that, his name was revered, even becoming immortalised in the history books.
In his Fifties he was regarded as the leader of the commanders.
Due to this, the managerial board that controlled army had come to an agreement.
A new position was created for him alone;
The supreme commander.

"So many men died here today.
The ones that have fallen will not be forgotten, even if everyone else forgets I wont…
They fought at my command, and I will now take responsibility for that." His expression was that of regret.
He looked at the sprout straight in the eye.
"I see now…
It's a mental attack, that incapacitates one with lesser aether unable to break free." With his awakening he now had insights on the true nature of things.
Chains formed of dark aether wrapped around his body, he didn't close his eyes this time.
With a surge of aether from his body he broke free.
The sprout vanished, Heimer charged at it.
Wherever it went he followed, he could see its destination beforehand.
He wasn't letting it get any distance.
"You can't run away from me!" He screamed with fury.
!
It spun around, rapidly whipping its tail at him.
He blocked it with his axe but he was pushed back, even his new armour broke on impact.
It then stood on its hind legs now, dark aether seeped out of its claws as it slashed at him.
He dodged it quite easily, but it left a mark o the ground.
That wasn't the end.
It strikes multiple times with its claws and teeth, he dodged the strikes but barely.
It was now pushing him back, it had the momentum.
It went in for its twentieth strike, Heimer swerved around it, getting underneath it.
He didn't miss this chance.
With a spin he chopped of its limbs at once, leaving it handicapped.
It screeched in anguish.
-
It vanished forward.
Heimer walked slowly at its back following it from behind.
[Fwish…Fwish…Fwish] It teleported multiple times but the distances were very short.
-
[Step]
[The scraping of metal could be heard, as well as the shrieks of angony from a conered beast]
[Step]
The sprout had stopped its pointless endeavour.
Heimer walked towards it while dragging his axe on the ground.
He was now behind the fallen creature.
"Hundreds of thousands killed in the course of one night.
All done by you, and now you cry?" He said calmly, and unsettling level of calmness.
The sprout whipped its tail at him, he caught in under his left armpit, he chopped it off with his axe.
Its cries intensified.
He walked around it and stood at its front looking down at it.
"I'm nearly out of aether" The ring above his head was fading.
He held in hand the tip of its tail he had just cut.
"This is for the soldier who sang at his final moments.
For my fallen comrades.
For the thousands who can dream no more!" His voice echoed through the desolate land.
He raised his hand up, weilding its tail.
It began to charge up something in its mouth, the blast it had used to destroy.
"How futile.
PERISH!" He screamed in rage, as he stabbed through its head with its own tail.
He had led led nearly 5,000 troops into a battle against 13,000; he was victorious.
Now in his sixties with his acquisition of the golden aether, he had truly become the embodiment of the title - heaven on earth.
-
"What is it this time?!" He couldn't grasp the situation.
The ground rumbled around the entire empire.
The inhabitants of the empire had just barely recovered from the voice.
Now they experienced a different phenomenon.
Those who stood outside could see what occurred next.
In the distance way beyond the fourth sector, a giant pillar of light descended to the ground.
When it finally hit the ground the rumbling stopped.
"This feeling once again.
The moment I looked at it my head hurt.
Something tells me we must head for the light, lest we embrace extinction.
Is this a result of aether?
I wonder…
I can feel its name in my head just like previously" Heimer was plagued by thoughts as he looked away from the light.
He looked at it once more.
Shivers running through his spine as he uttered its name;
"The 13th commandment"
