"I have a question as well!" Caesar said very loudly, the moment the lady drove her fists at Leo.
The water parted behind Leo's head for as far as the eyes could see, Leo's blood dripped to the water beneath his feet.
His knees gave up and he knelt on the floor. "Yes it was undoubtedly my blood." Leo thought as he exhaled erratically.
Blood from his face ran alongside his jawline and pooled on his jaw forming drops that dripped on the water on the white floor.
"Her hand's trajectory shifted right before it hit my face if not id be dead, looking at it now…
If it comes down to it there's no way we're defeating her; not in our current state.
It's hopeless, did I escape death back then just to face it in less than a year later to the main cause of all my predicaments?" Leo dreaded while bowing and resting on his elbow.
He gripped the water around his hand feeling hopeless as he palmed the water with force.
[Splash]
–
"And why do you think I would answer your question?" The lady said with her attention now on Caesar.
"Leo said I should use this if she asks anything similar, is it really going to work." Caesar had doubts but still went through with it.
"Because you have no animosity in your tone." Caesar replied.
The hole on her face split apart to two holes in place of eyes, they frowned.
"And why do you say that?" She asked. "What have I done to show any level of being affectionate, and don't even try using that 'line of thought'. " She extended her index finger to beside Caesar's ear.
"What?!" Caesar exclaimed internally.
She infused the finger tip with aether then raised it up as if cutting something, and almost immediately time Karius held his ears that had began bleeding.
He groaned.
"Without the help of your comrades of course" She said with a wide grin.
"I can't use my gift?!
My head hurts so much, the noise!" Karius held his head so tight that he was starting to damage his skull, he grit his teeth.
[Snap!] The pain was gone.
"No one plunges into madness without my permission." The lady said with her gaze on the struggling Karius, she was the one who snapped.
"Now continue." She set her gaze back on Caesar now who was tense.
"Quick; think, think, think what to say here…where to begin from…
Leo what were you going to say, Leo…is he alright?" Caesar took a short glimpse at Leo. "Oh that's it…Leo" He had a spark in his head.
"Are you going to keep me waiting-." She fiddled with her fingers.
"You spared my friend and the other, isn't that cause enough.
You're more than capable of killing everyone here, but we are still standing it's either you don't want to kill us.
Or can't." Caesar did not show any weakness in his words or stance.
The hole on her face shrank- she vanished-
Her hands wrapped around Caesar's neck to his chest, as she leaned into him from behind.
"And you never thought it might have been because I wanted to toy with you all, I barely get visitors you know." She put her cheeks besides Caesar's.
"I can't say…" Caesar's voice faded.
"...what a cute little thing, I might just keep you." She said with an endearing tone.
Zefroth frowned as she rolled her eyes to the direction of Caesar.
!
The hole on the lady's face moved to her cheeks to look at Zefroth — they shared a stare as the hole became a grin.
"You have swayed me, you may ask your question." She said.
Caesar eased up, his arms freed but his breath was still unsteady.
He kept his composure nonetheless, he wasn't about to waste the chance he had worked for so he exhaled lightly.
"How do we get out of here, or can we?" Caesar asked.
"Hmmm…how long has it been since I sent the beacon down?" She asked.
"Beacon? What beacon?" Caesar asked.
"That's strange…the beacon of light that signals our descent, this is the second time your race is entering this zone of mine yet you seem to be ignorant.
The fact that you all are so weak feels like you're mocking me as well.
Now tell me, how much do you people know about us?" She asked.
Caesar gulped.
"If it's the pillar of light it appeared seven months ago.
And we know you are a commandment of which you are the 13th — you are beings of old that embody rules and laws-" Caesar replied to her using the knowledge from the journal.
"Pfft, rules?
No, child we are those who have made our ascent to the ranks of concepts, laws may attribute to some of us.
Seven months…" She muttered the last part of her sentence.
"So you people stepped within my zone with minimal knowledge on what I am, would that be foolishness or courage." She giggled.
With another step she was within the centre of their circle. "You can only leave this place byyy...hmmm.....what was it again?
Oh yes, pass my trial and you can leave, be glad mine is quite easy." She was back to her large form.
With a next move so crude that Zefroth's face contort whilst she covered her mouth with her hand and held her stomach with the other.
She gagged.
The lady pierced the left part of her stomach and dragged it to the right tearing it open, black substance like tar poured out staining the white whilst she pulled something out.
It was something wrapped in bandages, her stomach size reduced and it covered up seamlessly.
She unwrapped it and it was a large picture frame, with the picture of a man, she dropped it on the floor.
From it's edge she pulled it up stretching it and increasing its scale in a way that broke pre-existing laws, she was essentially warping reality.
