Star Dou Great Forest.
After Gu Xuan and Gu Rong had departed, the Titan Giant Ape dove deep into the bottom of the Lake of Life. The lake spanned three thousand meters in diameter and reached a depth of a thousand meters. At the very center of its depths lay a peculiar formation—so unique that even if someone arrived there in person, they would never discover it without a specific method.
The meaningful look the Azure Sky Bull Python had given the Titan Giant Ape before was a command: inform the true master of the Star Dou Great Forest. The Soul Spirit method was too world-shaking; as mere "little beasts," they couldn't make the final call on such a matter.
Reaching the center of the formation, the Titan Giant Ape began chanting a specific incantation. A miraculous scene unfolded as the formation emitted an obscure ripple, opening a portal composed entirely of elemental forces. Though the destination beyond was unclear, the Titan Giant Ape entered without hesitation.
The ape emerged into a special dimension that resembled a starry void—endless and directionless. Suddenly, a gargantuan entity over a hundred meters long descended. Even a creature as powerful as the Titan Giant Ape appeared utterly microscopic before this titan.
The entity was dragon-shaped, shrouded in a layer of black light. While its full form was obscured, its massive, terrifying golden pupils radiated an unparalleled dominance and the weathered wisdom of ages. If Gu Xuan were here, he would surely recognize this behemoth as the Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King, Di Tian—the strongest of the soul beast race, with nearly eight hundred thousand years of cultivation, rivaling a Rank 99 Peerless Douluo!
"Titan, where is the Azure Sky Bull Python? Why are you the one opening the formation? Has a catastrophe befallen the forest?" A voice devoid of joy or sorrow boomed from the titan as its golden eyes stared flatly at the ape.
Hearing the question, the Titan Giant Ape stood respectfully like a schoolboy and replied, "Lord, my brother is safe, and the forest faces no catastrophe. On the contrary, we have welcomed the prosperity of our race..."
The ape proceeded to recount Gu Xuan's arrival and the details of the Soul Spirit method. As Di Tian listened, his stoic expression vanished, replaced by excitement and disbelief. A method that allowed humans and soul beasts to coexist and pass down their legacy permanently?
Di Tian was naturally skeptical, but the fact that the Azure Sky Bull Python had already become that human's Soul Spirit was an immutable truth. This meant the method was real.
"Wait here. I shall return shortly," Di Tian left these words and vanished. The ape had no idea where he went; while it had some contact with Di Tian, it and the Bull Python had never entered the true core of the forest, nor did they know of the Silver Dragon King's existence.
Di Tian had gone to report to the Silver Dragon King. Even he dared not make a unilateral decision on a matter of this magnitude. After a long while, Di Tian returned and briefed the Titan Giant Ape on the specifics.
Since the Soul Spirit method was viable, unifying the Star Dou Great Forest was now a necessity. However, Di Tian insisted that humans could still not be fully trusted. Therefore, he did not intend to show himself yet. Instead, he assigned helpers to the Titan Giant Ape: the Three-Headed Scarlet Devil Mastiff, Chi Wang, and the Myriad Demon King. Both were Great Beasts. Though the Titan Giant Ape was gifted, its strength was a notch below these two.
With their help, alongside Gu Rong and Gu Jian later on, the speed of unifying the forest would drastically increase. Di Tian and the others would only step into the light once the Soul Spirit method was proven and implemented. For now, they remained in the shadows to prevent any human treachery.
With the matter settled, the Titan Giant Ape gained two "underlings" of the hundred-thousand-year level on the surface, becoming the forest's acting administrator. It met with Gu Rong to begin the unification work.

Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
Upon entering the pocket dimension, Gu Xuan first felt a wave of warmth—a primal affinity stemming from his Martial Soul. His Bone Dragon was a variant, but it still possessed dragon blood, allowing him to feel the warmth from the Two Dragon Kings. Beyond that, his most direct sensation was of endless killing intent and sorrow. This space seemed limitless, but at its heart lay two gargantuan dragon corpses.
These were the remains of the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings. Their bodies were so vast that Gu Xuan's naked eye could not find their ends. Most strikingly, both corpses had a gaping wound running through their chests, as if they had been ripped in half. The bodies were filled with endless vitality and dragon-qi, yet the sites of the wounds were choked with Asura's killing intent, preventing the bodies from ever healing.
The heads were intact but devoid of their original life. When they were dismembered by the Asura God, only their souls were preserved. Though the flesh looked vital, there was no hope of restoration. The terrifying divine power and killing intent of Asura had stripped these husks of their souls, leaving only indestructible bodies—bodies that had created the treasure land of the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well.
Gu Xuan was shocked; the energy contained within the Two Dragon Kings' bodies was simply too vast. In his Bone Dragon form, he felt like a mere finger compared to these giants. Two dragon souls drifted from the corpses, scaled down to match Gu Xuan's size in his Martial Soul Avatar.
The Two Dragon Kings looked at him with joy. The Fire Dragon King spoke, "That you can enter here means you have the strength to accept the next stage of our inheritance."
The Ice Dragon King added, "However, you just merged with the Bull Python's ring. You need to adapt to this surge in power. First, we will use our origin power to nourish your frame, pushing your physical limits further. Once you are fully accustomed to this strength, we can begin the next phase."
Gu Xuan wasn't surprised. He yearned for strength but knew cultivation wasn't an overnight affair. To reach those heights, every step had to be solid. He nodded and replied, "I understand."
The Two Dragon Kings wasted no time; they had temporarily shielded the Asura God's mark and couldn't delay. Gu Xuan's Bone Dragon approached the corpses. Using their souls, the Dragon Kings channeled the mountain-shattering energy within the remains to wash over Gu Xuan's body, purging impurities.
Gu Xuan's physical and mental strength already rivaled a Rank 95 Super Douluo. After this baptism, his constitution was bound to ascend to a new height. During this process, the Evil God Luya guided him on how to temper his body, merging soul power and mental strength to lay a divine foundation. Luya had achieved godhood through his own cultivation, making his guidance invaluable for Gu Xuan's path to a self-created godhood.
As for the Azure Sky Bull Python, while Gu Xuan received the power of the Two Dragon Kings, it naturally benefited from the legacy as well, its soul undergoing a metamorphosis. It was now more certain than ever that its decision was correct; by following Gu Xuan, it wouldn't just live—it might one day reach that ultimate realm.
