Chapter 45 - The Weight Of Control

The chamber did not collapse.

That alone was unnatural.

With the level of power surging through the space, the fractured pillars should have shattered long ago. The ground beneath them was already cracked, the walls strained under pressure, and the air itself felt dense enough to suffocate a weaker hunter.

And yet—

It held.

Not because it was strong.

But because Adrian was holding it.

He stood at the center of the chamber, his breathing steady now, his posture no longer strained. The blue energy surrounding him flowed in controlled currents, weaving through the broken structure like a living network.

Before, it had been chaos.

Now—

It obeyed.

The creature watched him carefully.

Not attacking.

Not rushing.

Observing.

That alone said enough.

"You have stabilized it," the creature said slowly, its deep voice echoing through the chamber.

Adrian didn't answer immediately.

He was still adjusting.

Still feeling the system.

It was different now.

Lighter.

Clearer.
