The next morning...
Alisha knocked on the unit's door, but no one opened it.
"Don't tell me they're still sleeping," she sighed and touched the doorknob.
Since she was officially a resident of the unit, the door automatically opened for her. It was a convenient system designed for his partners, as Aiden wasn't always inside to open the door for them.
"Let's see what they were up to last night."
Since Aiden's unit was soundproof, Alisha hadn't heard a peep from there even when she had pressed her ear to the wall.
That's why she had come back early to check on them, only to find the place was eerily silent. There was no sound at all. The lights were still off, meaning the two were still in bed.
Alisha clicked her tongue. She thought, given how tired Aiden had been, their romance would be short-lived. That's why she had readily agreed to leave the unit.
