Livia clung to Aldus, her nails almost digging into the king's skin. Her body was almost convulsing violently, but in her eyes—for a moment—the same color as her wolf's eyes shone through. And there, Aldus knew—Lilly was starting to return.
As Lilly reunited with Livia, Livia's body suddenly began to convulse even more violently. The bed was almost torn apart by the strength of her convulsions. Her breathing became ragged, as if each breath was a fight against death itself.
"Your Majesty..." the Beta called softly from the side of the door, but the king ignored him.
Livia's eyes opened, and for a moment, the blue and gold—the colors of her wolf—showed brightly. But following that, her body collapsed again, almost lifeless.
"No! Livia, fight it!" Aldus shouted, his voice echoing throughout the room. He gripped the woman's cheek tightly, trying to keep her awake.
"Can you hear me? Fight it!!"
