Ria and Felly led me toward the garden they had mentioned, while I carried Abby in my arms. The moment I saw the place, the heaviness in my chest eased—if only for a little while.
The suspicion I had been feeling toward everyone and their strange behavior faded for a moment, replaced by the breathtaking sight before me. Rows of vibrant vegetables and fruit-bearing plants filled the wide space, fresh and full of life.
"It's beautiful," I whispered as my gaze wandered across the greenery.
"Do you like it, Luna?" Felly asked, and I nodded.
"Very much."
I set Abby down and allowed her to pick a ripe tomato, watching her tiny fingers move with so much innocence.
"I should've brought you here yesterday, Luna," Ria suddenly said, earning my glance. "But I noticed how quiet and distracted you were."
Right. Yesterday… I had been silent and lost, haunted by a nightmare.
"How long has this garden been here?" I asked instead, walking deeper into the center of the garden.
