Inside the Castle
Rio, surrounded and pinned down—
"BOOOM!"
"What was that?" Rio whispered.
Someone outside screamed,
"How dare you kill my daughterrr!"
"That was King Housen," a guard said.
"Huh? His daughter… Asua?"
Rio and the guards realized that Asua had been killed by someone.
"SLASH!"
As the guards let their guard down, Rio quickly took the opportunity and swung his sword in a full circle, killing everyone.
"Haah… haah…"
Rio panted as he looked at his leg, which had been stabbed during the fight.
"Damn it…"
He couldn't walk.
Outside
Reas looked at Harals facing Housen.
"I don't think he is danger. He is on our side… but can he kill the Sword Demon?"
He looked around. Everyone was fighting with everything they had.
"Is this actually possible?"
A hopeful expression appeared on his face.
He joined the battle and started firing powerful spells.
The demons heavily outnumbered the alliance, but the alliance was fighting at a completely different level. The demons were starting to feel fear.
Elsewhere
Friea and Thorkel stood up again.
Chunini, furious after learning about Asua's apparent death, grabbed spears in both hands infused with mana and ran toward them.
"Aaahhh!"
"You filthy humans!"
Friea quickly attacked.
"Divine Destruction!"
Chunini dodged it again. Just as he was about to pierce Friea, Thorkel jumped in and smashed his hammer into Chunini's spear.
The collision was massive, lightning spreading everywhere.
Thorkel pushed Chunini back, but he was still unscathed.
"Damn it, my attacks aren't that powerful against him," Thorkel said in anger.
"Wait, I have a plan," Friea whispered.
"Got it, that should work," Thorkel smirked.
"Lightning Swing!"
Thorkel's lightning surrounded Chunini.
"Fools… you really think this will work? Hahaha!"
Chunini laughed.
"Divine Destruction!"
Friea fired her attack.
The lightning surrounded Chunini, preventing him from dodging. He quickly generated four mana-infused spears to block the attack.
But right before they could collide, Thorkel used the lightning to block the spears.
The Divine Destruction landed directly on Chunini.
"Damn you… humans…"
Those were his last words as he died.
"We did it," Thorkel smiled at Friea.
"Yes… but the battle isn't over yet," Friea said, looking up at the sky.
Battlefield
The number of demons shrank.
Reas couldn't believe his eyes. For the first time in his life, the demons were losing.
Most demons had been defeated.
Everyone was waiting for the remaining fights to end.
All of a sudden, a demon attacked Norm from behind—
"SLASH!"
Everyone looked at Norm.
The demon behind him had been killed by the invisible Lisa.
"Lisa… I thought I was going to die," Norm said, fear in his eyes.
"Don't worry. I will never let you die," Lisa smirked.
Norm hugged Lisa.
"BOOM!"
Harals and Housen clashed.
Everyone looked up.
"Spatial manipulation magic? So that's how you were winning those duels," Housen said in anger.
"Yes. I deceptively used space manipulation to knock your sword from your hand," Harals replied.
"You bastard!"
"1000 Swords!"
(In this spell, countless slashes are fired, destroying everything around.)
"Everyone, run away! I'll be back!" Harals shouted.
Everyone ran.
Friea looked into his eyes.
"I believe in you, Harals."
Harals nodded. Friea smiled.
As the "1000 Swords" spell was fired, everything in its path was destroyed—the castle and most of the city.
"This explains why you are one of the Eight Commanders," Harals said, "but do you know why I told everyone to retreat?"
"To stay safe from my spell," Housen replied.
"Wrong."
Harals raised his sword, which transformed into a staff.
"Oh, so you weren't even using a real sword. You absolute piece of shit," Housen said furiously.
"I told them to retreat because of this."
"Spatial Obliteration."
A spiral flow of mana burst out from Harals' staff. The ground started shaking. The sky seemed to split apart.
Housen, fear in his eyes—
"Who is this human…? No… not human."
The spell was fired.
The spiral was released.
The entire city was flattened.
Nothing remained.
Housen was defeated.
Harals floated down, carrying an unconscious Rio in his arms.
