I glanced at her, though my mind still wandered, absent-mindedly stuck on the events of several days ago. I took the report from her, feeling the prick of her probing eyes.
"That reminds me," I said. "What is the status of the subject? Have you gone to see her?"
She nodded. "Of course. And I have been feeding Cheese cheese, just like he likes."
Quirking a brow, I asked, "Feeding Cheese... cheese?"
"Yes," she affirmed. "It's the name of the wolf she houses."
"Its name is Cheese?" I found myself asking again, my intrigue growing. "Why Cheese of all names?"
Could that even qualify as a designation? The human was strange in every facet, even in the naming of creatures.
