Watching them was a sight to beholdāthe human and her adopted werewolf sister, locked in a battle that looked like it went far beyond the events of today.
It was akin to watching a volcano explode up close. I could not look away even if I tried.
Seeing Aurora with her claws buried in someone's hide, ripping without mercy, filled me with something too carnal to name. This wasn't just reaction. This was primal. Feral. Right.
"We should let them settle this," Kaleb muttered beside me, his eyes fixed on the blood-soaked spectacle. "Respect the brawl."
I nodded absently, my focus still locked on Aurora's white form as she held Sonya pinned, jaws hovering over her throat.
But then I caught it a movement. It was so strange and so quick that a mortal would have missed it entirely.
Both wolves shifted, just fractionally and then I saw it clearly.
They each cut the other's wrists.
