Chapter 101 - Chapter 101: The Senju Have No Retreat

"I'm back!" When Nawaki returned, Miki and Mito had already finished their conversation.

Little Nawaki came up to Miki with a can of red bean mochi soup, extending his hand and saying, "Here!"

After Miki took it, Nawaki immediately ran off.

"Grandma! I'm going out to play!"

"This child…" Mito smiled helplessly.

Just then, Miki silently opened the can.

Nawaki, who was jogging, fell into a pit with a plop.

"Damn it!!! When did you dig this trap!!!"

Nawaki's furious roar came from the pit.

"Just now…" Miki said.

"How despicable! To secretly dig a trap when I wasn't around!"

"Secretly? Mito saw it too." Miki said, "You just weren't paying attention and stepped right into the trap."

"Despicable woman! I curse you to never get married, ever!!!"

"Tsk…" Miki scoffed, "With that attitude, and you want to be Hokage? Climb out yourself."

"I'll climb out! I don't need you to tell me!" Nawaki said with a sob.

"Oh~" Miki drew out the sound, saying, "Speaking of which, you're a Ninja Academy student this year, aren't you?"

"So what?!"

"Has the school not taught trap setting yet?" Miki said, "To fall for such a simple trap, your teacher will cry, you know."

"No way! I just wasn't prepared! Next time! Next time I definitely won't fall for a trap so easily."

"Is that so? If this were on the battlefield, you'd have already stepped into an Exploding Tag trap and been blown to smithereens." Miki said blandly.

"I won't die in such a ridiculous way!!!" Nawaki roared, "I'm the man who will become Hokage! At least ten thousand Shinobi are worthy of taking my life!"

"Ten thousand, huh…" Miki said blandly, "That's a bit low. Is that really the limit of your imagination?"

"What do you mean!?"

"You dream well." Miki said.

"I'm not dreaming!" Nawaki was about to cry, truly about to cry, yelling indignantly.

"Is that so…" Miki said, "By the way, you've already taken the exam, haven't you?"

"Hmph!" Nawaki snorted coldly.

"Regarding the 'Wisdom' score, what was your result?" Miki asked.

Nawaki remained silent.

"It was two, you know." Mito said dismissively, "Wisdom two. In the history of the Thousand Hand Clan, you're also number one, Nawaki."

(Referring to the history after Konoha was established.)

"Grandma!!!" Nawaki let out a heartbroken wail.

"Only two, huh…" Miki said nonchalantly, "Doesn't that just mean you're an idiot?"

"Then how many points do you have!!!" Nawaki roared, "Do you have more than me!?"

"Honestly, you really are a Wisdom Two." Miki said, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you, so ask someone you trust."

"Grandma!!!" Nawaki wailed.

(Please tell me she only has one point.)

"It's Wisdom Ten." Mito said.

"What! Only ten points! That's just eight more than me!!"

"The full score is ten, Nawaki." Mito said.

"What about Big Sister!!!" In Nawaki's impression, his Big Sister wasn't necessarily smarter than him. At most, she'd have three points.

"It's ten, you know." Mito sighed, "Why would you think Tsunade is like you?"

"Impossible! She definitely cheated!!" Nawaki refused to accept reality.

"Wisdom Two, you can't become a Shinobi like this." Miki said, then stood up and said to Mito, "I'll be leaving now. I'll come visit you again next time."

"Anbu missions are not like the Hospital, so be more careful." Mito said.

"I know, I'm not a child anymore."

"In my eyes, you always will be." Saying this, Mito stood up and came before Miki, adjusting Miki's collar.

"Grandma!!!"

"Honestly, you're such a big girl, and you still can't take care of yourself."

"Am I?" Miki looked down in confusion, saying, "I'm not wearing it wrong."

"If I say so, then it is so." Mito said with a smile.

"Grandma—!!!"

"Mhm." Miki nodded, saying, "Next time, what kind of souvenir would you like? Make a wish."

"Hmm…" Mito said, troubled, "There's nothing in particular I want."

"Grandma—!!!"

Nawaki despaired.

"Wah!!!"

"Then I'll decide." After Miki finished speaking, as she turned to leave, she quickly made several hand signs with one hand.

Several Anbu who had returned with Nawaki instantly appeared behind Miki.

Looking at Miki's retreating figure, Mito sighed and murmured to herself, "Tsunade, for you to become the light, Miki has become the darkness. Don't disappoint me."

"Grandma—!!!"

Mito raised an eyebrow, sat back down, and began to eat her yokan in small bites.

"Did that guy leave? Hurry and help me up! Grandma!"

"When Tsunade was your age, she was already playing by jumping off cliffs. This small height, climb up yourself." Mito said.

"I can't do it at all! It's too high!"

"Aren't you going to become Hokage? Then climb up yourself. No one can help you, and I won't help you either."

What happened?

How did Grandma's attitude change so much just from me running an errand?

Nawaki burst into tears.

After a long moment of no movement, he wiped away his tears and began to climb up step by step.

Although he would fall midway.

But as long as he moved forward, he wouldn't stop.

When he finally climbed out, he was covered in dirt but couldn't hide the unprecedented joy and excitement.

"I did it! It was nothing special!"

"Hmph hmph hmph hahahahahahaha!!!"

Nawaki jumped and bounced.

"Oh dear!"

Then he fell down again.

There was another trap.

"That's too insidious! I'm just a child!!!"

Nawaki burst into tears.

When he climbed out again, Nawaki had learned to use his brain, carefully observing his surroundings.

Mito watched the little mud monkey crawl on all fours, cautiously exploring the ground, and let out a chuckle.

"Don't laugh!!!"

"Even if he's a Wisdom Two, isn't this a Wisdom Two solution?" Mito said with a laugh, "It's truly quite funny."

"Damn it all!!!"

On the streets within the Senju clan compound, it was quiet and deserted.

Miki walked in front, followed by four Senju Anbu.

Miki didn't speak; the Anbu were waiting for orders.

After a while, Miki spoke.

"Draw out personnel and establish a new Anbu."

"Mushi-Hime-sama!?" A Senju Shinobi couldn't help but exclaim.

"Within five years at most, I want to control the Anbu. How can I play without my own people?"

"But…"

That Anbu couldn't be kept.

Shinobi trained by Root, could they be trusted?

Over the past ten years, they had already become molded by the Third Hokage.

Miki stopped and looked at that person, saying, "Or are you saying you want to step onto the front lines of the Second Shinobi World War and die?"

"Ha!" The four knelt on one knee and lowered their heads.

"The Senju have no retreat." Miki said, "Unless, we replace the Hokage. Understand?"

"Ha!" The four lowered their heads and obeyed.

Miki said, "Pass on the order. Disperse!"

"Ha!"

The four instantly vanished.

New favorites. I'm at the bottom of the Sanjiang list this time, hahahahahahaha, yay, first.

It will be released this Friday.

Four more days.
