Chapter 37 - Chapter 37: The Altar of the First Lie

The relocation of the 6th Realm's Orbital Gate to the terrestrial surface was not a mere display of kinetic force; it was the physical manifestation of a systemic default.

Kyros Vancroft stood on the jagged rim of the Vancroft valley, his silhouette now a masterpiece of Geometric Void. His body, no longer constrained by the organic laws of biology, pulsed with a light-swallowing indigo frequency that turned the surrounding air into a shimmering, dark superfluid. Below him, the 6th Realm Gate a structure the size of a continent, composed of refined star-iron and encoded with the causal mandates of the High Heavens lay crumpled across the mountain range like a discarded silver collar.

The "Heavens" had been brought down to the dirt.

"The architecture of the Higher Realms is built on the premise of distance," Kyros whispered. His voice was no longer a vibration of air; it was a series of direct gravitational pulses that resonated within the very marrow of every soul in the valley. "They believe that by placing their altars in the stars, they can ignore the foundations of the earth. I have simply corrected the verticality of their arrogance."

Action: Initiate Wide-Spectrum Siphoning The Gate's Marrow.

Kyros extended a hand, his fingers tracing the non-Euclidean lines of the universe's blueprint. He didn't use mana to dismantle the Gate. He used Law-Writer Authority.

The continent-sized silver structure began to groan a sound that vibrated the planet's magnetic poles. The "Refined Star-Iron" didn't melt; it unspooled. The distilled starlight and the Causal Laws that gave the Gate its permanence were being stripped away, layer by layer, and funneled into the Monolith-Well at the center of the estate.

Integration Progress: 95.1%... 95.4%... 95.8%...

In the valley below, Sylas stood at the head of the Scavenger Detail. Under Kyros's 95% influence, the scavengers had undergone a fundamental "Biological Correction." Their eyes were now pits of violet-indigo, and their skin possessed the matte-obsidian sheen of the Void. They were no longer the "Hollow" outcasts of a failing lineage; they were the first citizens of a Sovereign Singularity.

"Master," Sylas's voice reached Kyros through the seismic resonance of the mountain. "The siphoning of the Gate's marrow has provided us with a surplus of 4.2 million units of high-frequency essence. The 'Zero-Zone' is currently at 98% saturation. The two High Sovereigns... they are no longer resisting."

Kyros looked down at the two remaining Sovereigns of the 6th Realm. They were floating in a localized vacuum-field near the base of the North Spire, their golden armor cracked and dull, their "Light" reduced to a flickering amber. They had been the masters of space for ten thousand years. Now, they were auxiliary batteries.

"A predictable outcome," Kyros noted. "The Sovereigns of the 6th Realm are built on the 'Law of Light' a frequency that is inherently entropic. Without their orbital anchors, they are simply disorganized energy seeking a container. The Scavenger Detail is that container."

Kyros turned his gaze upward, looking past the shattered sky and the empty orbit of the 5th Realm. Through the Sovereign's Eye, he saw the true target.

The 7th Realm Altar.

This was the "Altar of the First Lie" the point of origin for the 1,200-year-old Chrono-Covenant. In his first life, Kyros had believed the 7th Realm was the seat of the Gods. Now, he knew it was the "Administrative Center" of a galactic-scale soul-harvest. The 7th Realm didn't create life; it managed the "Value" of life, ensuring that the lower worlds produced just enough suffering to keep the High Sovereigns immortal.

"Variable: 7th Realm. Identity: The Architects of the Ledger." "Status: Monitoring the 6th Realm's silence."

Kyros sat cross-legged on the air, his Geometric Void body aligning itself with the solar system's gravitational center. He was no longer just anchoring a planet; he was anchoring the entire star-system to his own heart.

Action: Initiate Causal Probe – The 7th Realm Frequency.

Kyros reached out with his mind, bypassing the physical distance of the cosmos. He touched the edge of the 7th Realm's domain. It wasn't a world of stone and air; it was a world of "Logic and Debt." He saw the ledger a miles-high pillar of glowing starlight where every soul in the Vancroft Sector was recorded as a decimal point.

He saw his own name: Kyros Vancroft. Variable: Hollow. Status: Terminated (Projected).

Kyros felt a flicker of something that might have been amusement if he still possessed a heart of flesh.

"The 7th Realm's math is outdated," Kyros said, his voice echoing through the causal fabric of the galaxy. "They have projected my termination based on a system I have already deleted."

Suddenly, the 7th Realm reacted.

A "Causal Correction" beam descended not a beam of fire, but a beam of History. The Architects were attempting to overwrite the last three months of the Vancroft sector. They were trying to "Re-Write" Kyros out of the timeline by ensuring his mother never met Lord Valerius.

Warning: Causal Overwrite Detected. Probability of Historical Erasure: 94%.

Kyros didn't resist. He didn't defend his past.

"The past is a variable of linear time," Kyros noted. "But a Singularity is an Event that exists at all points simultaneously."

Action: Initiate Law-Writer Protocol – Self-Anchor.

Kyros "weighted" his own existence. He took the 95% density of his foundation and applied it to the "Fact" of his birth. The 7th Realm's beam hit his history and shattered. You cannot delete a fact that is heavier than the logic trying to erase it.

The feedback from the shattered beam rippled back to the 7th Realm Altar. For the first time in twelve centuries, the "Ledger of the Gods" shivered. A crack appeared in the starlight pillar, and the name "Kyros Vancroft" didn't just stay on the list it overwrote the names above it.

Integration Progress: 96.1%... 96.5%... 96.9%...

[Milestone Reached: 97% Foundation Integration.][Status: The Galactic Anchor.][Ability Unlocked: Causal Override (Active History Editing).][Authority Gained: Sovereign of the First Altar.]

Kyros stood up. The sky over the Vancroft world was now a swirling galaxy of violet-indigo and black. The 6th Realm was gone, their gate was siphoned, and the 7th Realm was bleeding data.

"Sylas," Kyros commanded.

"I am here, Sovereign," she replied, her voice now a harmonic that resonated with the planet's own pulse.

"The 7th Realm has attempted to audit my existence and found it... heavy," Kyros noted. "They will now initiate the Galaxy-Scale Liquidation. They will attempt to collapse the local star into a black hole to ensure the 'Kyros Anomaly' is erased. Move the Scavenger Empire into the Tectonic Bunkers. I am going to the Altar of the First Lie to collect the original contract."

Kyros stepped into the air. He didn't use a bridge of logic this time. He simply translocated his mass, appearing ten thousand light-years away at the gates of the 7th Realm Altar in a single millisecond.

He stood before the golden gates of the Architects. He was a speck of obsidian against a wall of divine light.

"I am here to declare the 7th Realm as insolvent," Kyros's voice boomed, vibrating the very foundations of the Higher Heavens. "The contract is void. The debt is cancelled. And I am here to collect the collateral."

Kyros reached out and placed his hand on the golden gates.
