Someone else, a calm looking woman attends to us this time.
The tall and pretty woman speaks with Taesan with a polite smile, and she doesn't run off like her friend.
Maybe this dinner date will end without someone being threatened.
My palms are starting to sweat where I have them pressed against my thighs under the table, I'm so nervous.
I sneak a glance at the people in the room and immediately regret it.
They all look so pretty and are shining under the light. They look like this is their natural habitat, but I don't look as blended in as them.
I look like a kid playing dress up.
"Are you okay?" my mate asks and I nod, moving my head up and down repeatedly while smiling at him.
Taesan places his hands on the table, but instead of his arrogant appearance, he's playing with his fingers, and the gesture confuses me.
"Are you okay?" I ask him in return and his shoulders fall. His frown looks like he's trying to figure out something puzzling.
