The room was small, intimate, almost as if the whole world had shrunk to those four walls and the soft light filtering through the edges of the curtain. A nightstand lamp cast warm shadows over the white sheets. The kind of place that didn't pretend to be romantic… but it was, simply because they were there.
Kira set the shopping bags by the door carefully, as if still measuring every movement. She stood in the center, the reddish‑brown dress hugging every curve of her body, her red‑orange hair loose and cascading over her shoulders and back. Her fox ears were oriented toward Alex, not with a tracker's alertness, but with a new kind of attention, more vulnerable, more hungry.
Alex closed the door with a soft click and looked at her. His red eyes, without that dangerous Fragment glow — they were just his now, full of something that went beyond desire: tenderness, protection, raw love.
