Chapter 26 - 26 - Different Cultures

Moyu lay me on my bed, letting me bask in the afterglow.

"...Thank you for having...me..." I whispered.

"Thank you for letting us," Moyu smiled.

Vick was still hard despite having finished twice already. His gaze switched between Madam and his crotch as he tossed the used rubber inside a bin in the corner.

"Want to feel the leftovers Little Miss left behind on me?" he asked. He must be referring to the slick I leaked from what he just did to me, "It's still hot."

"Are you sure it's not me from this morning that's all over your dirty dick? Her chastity belt is still in place, how would she get anything on you?" Madam responded, still plopped on her elbow.

"Oh." Vick looked down and nodded in agreement, "Fair enough," he said, and poured himself a drink.

My cheeks heated up when he winked at me.

He was inside Madam first...and...and then me. That made me feel shy for some reason. An indirect mating with Madam...and indirect...

I didn't think about it that way... It sounded more intimate now, more meaningful. I didn't know what to make of my new emotions. I could only look away, too shy to face Madam.

The rest, except for Karrak, went to check on my condition and stayed around to ask me how I felt about it and to ensure I was comfortable and happy.

Madam was right about wanting to bask in the afterglow, alone.

I was not used to so many people caring about me at once.

How was I going to move on when it was time for me to go? It was easy to get used to something, but not as easy to give it up.

I was getting attached, and that's bad, very bad. The more they paid attention to me, the faster boredom would come and the sooner they would lose interest.

I had to prepare myself for that.

The circus had taught me that no matter how much effort you put into your performance, no matter how good it is, people would always move on to the next best thing, the newest and freshest experience.

The audience never cared about the performer's efforts, all they cared about was being entertained. And if you didn't entertain them, they would leave.

The owners and Madam planned to hire females to work in their new territory, so I should focus on gaining some useful skills, so I could get one of those jobs. That way, I could always be near them.

"Why is she crying again? What did you do to her now?" I heard Baron accuse Michael.

"I was just smiling at her," Michael defended himself.

"Look, even that makes her cry," Baron continued, trying to cheer me up at Michael's expense, "You are scaring her to death."

"I'm... fine. Not scared, just..." I rubbed my eyes with my palm, wiping the tears of happiness, "...moved..."

"Moved?" Baron snickered, "By his smile? You have no taste, Little Miss. It's so gross, he should be paying people to look at him."

A scorpion tail shot forward, attempting to poke Baron's eye, but he dodged it.

"Did you really used to be a head male? No wonder everyone under your lead died," Michael's entire aura changed, "You are only here because Darling took liking to your cubs and you had to come with the package. Don't forget that."

There was a moment of silence and everyone looked at Michael as if he just crossed the line. I hear that Baron used to be mated to another female, a very demanding and selfish one.

So Baron used to be a head male? He did seem to be the most active when it came to interaction with others. He was the first to clear miscommunication between me and others, the one who always tried to include me and show me that I belonged.

Baron's face remained expressionless, but I could see his fist clenching. He didn't leave or get angry, he just took it.

He went to fetch a basin of water and a towel to clean my body and didn't utter another word, "It's okay. Everything happened in the past."

Skaris joined to help, his hands squeezing a wet cloth.

I was afraid to protest, and didn't want to agitate Baron any further, so I lay down and allowed him to do his thing.

Madam threw a key in his direction and he caught it, unlocking my belt. He even helped me put on my dress and carried me outside to pee, holding me up while I relieved myself.

He really was experienced in this, as if he used to do it all the time, for someone else. Someone weaker, more needy, someone who he cared about. It was as if I was a part of him, not a burden, but his reason to be.

"Michael was born out of a broken bond, that's why he looks like that. I probably hit it too close to home and he got upset. It's not his fault." Baron said, defending Michael.

"Broken bond?" I asked.

"Cubs born from a broken bond can't feel emotions like normal cubs, so they are more prone to violence and cruelty. They can't love or care for others like a normal cub can," he explained.

"He loves Madam," I said, "She said he has a provider mindset too."

"Yes, but it's different," Baron continued, "He would have locked her up by now and would have killed all of us if he could get away with it."

I didn't want to push my opinion on him, but that didn't make sense to me.

I believed Michael cared for the owners in his own way.

"Don't listen to Baron. He grew up in a traditional beastmen society, who looked down on our kind," Michael went to check on me after Baron, "His views are outdated," he said, "Good thing his cubs turned out fine, unlike their sire."

Baron didn't say anything in return, which surprised me, as I thought he would defend himself, or his offspring at least.
