Mikhail kissed her slowly this time, like he was savoring every second instead of trying to consume her whole.
Regina's fingers slid into his hair, nails lightly scraping his scalp before curling at his nape. She kissed him back with shameless enthusiasm, completely unbothered by how needy she looked. Every time their lips parted, she chased him again, pulling him back down with impatient little tugs until he laughed softly against her mouth.
He could feel it in the way she kissed him tonight.
She was stressed.
Restless.
Trying to drown something out.
Her breathing trembled faintly between kisses before she finally managed to murmur against his lips, "…Bedroom?"
Mikhail almost groaned.
The sound alone nearly snapped whatever patience he had left.
But then he pecked her lips once more and lifted her easily onto the kitchen counter instead.
"Give me a minute," he said with a grin.
Regina immediately tightened her legs around his waist before he could move away.
