After his passionate time with Ayame and a moment of rest, there was already less than an hour left before the siege.
Damon hadn't noticed the time at first, so when he did, he sprang to his feet and began to quickly get dressed.
He was ready to leave within a few moments, leaving toward the door to go fetch his group.
"Don't take too long... I'll be waiting~" Ayame's voice called after him as he left.
During the walk to the first member of his group, Damon was lost in thought, recalling what had just happened between him and Ayame.
It wasn't until he arrived at a small wooden door that he snapped out of that pleasant daze and shook his head back into focus.
*Knock!* *Knock!*
There was a moment of silence before the door suddenly swung open. There wasn't even the faintest sound of footsteps, as if the person behind it was already waiting behind the door.
"Elias," Damon nodded in a greeting, and the middle-aged man returned the gesture. "You ready?"
