Chapter 4 - Chapter 3: A Familiar Shiver in an Unknown City

Ten years had passed. The dusty boy from Shantiniten village was long gone. After a hard struggle with poverty, Ariyan was now a top student in his final year at a prestigious city university. His sharp intellect and royal demeanor—his height, broad shoulders, and mysterious eyes—made many girls stop in their tracks as he walked through the campus corridors. Yet, his heart remained cold and heavy, like a stone. He never smiled, and in his pocket, he still carried that faded blue note, a constant reminder that he had to become successful and find Tuli.

On the other side, Tuli had grown into a stunningly beautiful young woman living in an elite part of the city. Despite the modern touch, she remained as spirited and stubborn as her childhood self. Her father, Mr. Arman, never let her feel any want, but an odd emptiness always lingered in her heart. She had turned down countless marriage proposals without a second thought.

One Monday, the university's main library was crowded. Ariyan was walking fast toward his next class with a stack of notes in his hand. Coming from the opposite direction was Tuli, talking heatedly on her phone.

Suddenly, they collided. Ariyan's notes scattered everywhere. As Tuli lost her balance and was about to fall, a pair of strong hands caught her by the waist. Everything went silent. When Tuli opened her eyes, she saw a pair of sharp, enchanting eyes fixed on her—a gaze that struck her heart like an old, familiar melody. Ariyan's heart also skipped a beat; those eyes and that restlessness felt hauntingly familiar.

Ariyan quickly composed himself and let her go. "Can't you watch where you're going?" he asked in a cold, deep voice. "All my notes are ruined!".

Feeling embarrassed while adjusting her scarf, Tuli replied, "I'm sorry... I was actually on the phone".

Without a word, Ariyan knelt to gather his papers. Tuli also bent down to help. Just then, the old, faded blue note fell from Ariyan's pocket. As Tuli picked it up, her heart throbbed. The paper was pale, but the blue ink felt like a knock on a long-closed door of her memories.

Ariyan quickly snatched the note back, his eyes burning with an strange intensity. "Don't touch this! Walk carefully next time".

He walked away briskly, leaving Tuli standing there like a statue. Her subconscious whispered—who was this youth?. Why did her heart race at the sight of him? And that blue note... why did it feel like a piece of her lost childhood had returned?.

The city was vast, filled with thousands of people, but destiny had tied them together with a single thread once again. They might not recognize each other yet, but the pull of the heart could no longer be denied.
