Antonio shook his head frantically, panic rising in his chest."That's not fair… what if it's not a blank… what if—"
Kai shrugged lazily."That's exactly why there are two of them," he replied without emotion. "Now… question one—why was your ID at the warehouse?"
Antonio froze, his hands clenching tightly. "I…"
Kai's expression darkened slightly.
"Time," he said quietly, "is running out."
"I was there!" Antonio burst out, desperation spilling into his voice. "I was at the warehouse, but I wasn't part of the operation—I swear! I was just on lookout duty… they promised me money, I needed it… I had no choice…"
