I turned toward Arabella, my gaze softening slightly the moment my eyes landed on her.
"What do you say?" I asked quietly.
Arabella smiled gently, almost as if she had not run away from me in fear just a few hours ago.
"I do not think there is anything left for me in my pack anymore," she said calmly.
Her eyes shifted briefly toward Victor, turning cold instantly.
"Alpha Victor made sure of that."
Then, just as quickly, she turned back toward me as though Victor no longer mattered at all.
The gesture alone soothed Midnight immediately.
My lycan relaxed beneath my skin, pleased by her response.
"I think that settles it then," I said smoothly before clapping my hands once.
The palace maids immediately began bringing out the food.
"We can continue the vote over dinner," I added calmly.
One by one, the servants filled the massive table with dish after dish.
