Sera made her way to the Goddess Lake, just as she and Elara had planned.
The night was unusually quiet, with only the sound of the breeze rustling through the trees. The moon reflected beautifully across the surface of the lake, giving the place an almost peaceful atmosphere, one that contrasted sharply with the secrets hidden within it.
As soon as Sera arrived, her eyes landed on Elara.
She was leaning against a large tree with her head covered beneath a dark cloak, carefully hiding her identity from anyone who might pass by.
"Did anybody follow you?" Elara asked immediately, her sharp eyes scanning the surroundings behind Sera.
Sera folded her arms across her chest.
"I'm the Gamma of this kingdom. You don't have to worry about anyone following me." She smirked. "I can't say the same for you, though. Considering the last time I followed you here, you weren't even aware I was watching." She said as she shook her head.
