One of Vealor's men shook his head.
"No, you don't. Not after killing our brothers in the morning. You made a mistake coming out here. You should have remained in the palace, where the other Royal Guards are," he said.
Marvin did not budge, neither did he show any fear. It was like he became a totally different person. I had seen him get injured when he was protecting me, but he wasn't this fierce then. But he could be. I had never stood there to see how he fought so many Lycans, and still survived.
especially when it was just him and Lily who fought beside him.
The other guard with Marvin was still fearless in the same way.
