Chapter 2 - To Find Dagon

The air felt heavy as Jogo, Mahito and Choso walked towards Kenjaku and his prison realm, trying to avoid the destroyed bodies of transfigured humans and the completely still, frozen regular humans, aswell as the pieces of rubble scattered throughout the station. The 3 of them finally saw the strange heavy red cube on the ground and the cracks surrounding it.

"Hey Geto, is this supposed to happen? Shouldn't we be able to carry this thing?" Asked Mahito.

"Very perceptive of you Mahito, yes we should. Though Satoru Gojo will not allow it. One of us will need to stay here to guard the prison realm."

As Kenjaku spoke, Choso and Jogo listened intently.

"It can't be me. I've got someone I need to kill, and I won't stop until Yuji Itadori has been dealt with."

Said Choso, his voice cold and monotone as ever.

"I'll be going after him too. We've already got such a great advantage, and Sukuna is an unpredictable variable to us. Plus, I've got a bone to pick with that vessel. Wait, Jogo~, didn't you want to feed the boy all of those fingers you've got?"

Hearing Mahito's question, Jogo froze. He remembered his 'dream', although it didn't feel like one. It was too vivid, too... realistic. What if it was a premonition? Could he risk it? Should he?

Though Jogo couldn't throw away the option of reincarnating Sukuna... entirely.

"If I find Yuji Itadori, then sure, I'll feed him the fingers. But that is not my intention as of now."

Mahito smiled, then turned to Choso.

"We should part ways, it'll help us cover more ground."

Choso simply nodded and the two of them promptly ran up the subway stairwell, as Jogo slowly turned to leave as well, before turning to Kenjaku.

"Hey, Geto. Where is Dagon right now?"

"As of now, he should still be around the station somewhere, likely hunting down humans with his water technique. Are you planning to go find him?"

"...Yes, I am. When Satoru Gojo killed Hanami, I wasn't able to stop him. I will not let that happen again."

"I see."

Thinking the conversation had ended, Jogo turned his back to leave once again. Suddenly, Geto interrupted him.

"I couldn't help but notice when I appeared behind Gojo to seal him that there was a burn mark on his back. How did you do this, Jogo?"

What could he be talking about? Could it be from when I attacked Satoru Gojo to get him to stop attacking Hanami? But... I swore he had dodged! How could this be? Me, harming Satoru Gojo?

"I simply imbued my domain amplification into a flame attack, and I thought he had dodged, but apparently he didn't perfectly dodge it."

"Hm. You did that? That's... interesting. You see, using domain amplification together with a cursed technique is usually thought to be impossible, unless you are inside your domain expansion and using a cursed technique innate to your domain. Which, correct me if I'm wrong, you weren't doing."

"That's right, I... Wasn't! But what could this mean for me? Is it a new ability?''

"Honestly, Jogo, I don't fully know. It could be you simply turned Domain Amplification on and off quickly, then used a fire attack that surprised Gojo while he turned off his infinity abilities. Though I find that extremely unlikely. I've got another hypothesis."

"What would that be, then?''

"Jogo. Would you say you had a perfectly clear goal when you made that attack? That your whole body, whole soul seemed to be aligned at that exact moment to accomplish your goal? A state of perfect focus?"

"Yes, of course! I had one clear goal: to save Hanami. I'd burn everything in my way to do so, and I was not thinking logically. It was more... on instinct."

"Precisely. to 'burn everything' so to speak. That was a clear goal, one your whole soul and body seemed focused on, correct?"

''Geto, are you wasting my time here?! I've got to go and find Dagon, Damn it!"

Jogo screamed angrily, fire coming out his ears and head, though he soon calmed back down due to being intrigued with what Kenjaku was saying

"No worries. This won't take too long. Now, Mahito believes the soul is 'above the body', though I've found this to be untrue.

The body i'm in control of, the body of Suguru Geto, resisted against me for a bit when I tried to seal Satoru, So I've come to believe the body and soul may, instead, be equals.

In a small leap of logic, one could argue those who hold innate cursed techniques, such as me, you and mahito, have a third force that potentially could hold that same power over oneself as the soul and body, the cursed technique, especially since human beings like me learn our innate techniques around the age of 5, while special grade curses such as yourself unlock domains upon birth.

Though you may be one of the very few special cases where this 'special technique' you pulled off can actually be done."

"...I'm not following."

"Basically, your will to burn everything in your path harmonized your cursed technique perfectly with your body and soul, such as the equal connection I believe the body and soul have to one-another.

The reason why someone like me likely couldn't do this was because my cursed techniques aren't as simple as yours is.

I can't simply 'burn everything', like you can, or 'flood everything', like dagon can for example, in a big outburst of power. Being able to do this is likely what allows you to use this 'domain Projection', which is what I'll name this ability.

Your domain amplification was no longer simply creating an empty domain around your body wherever you were using it.

Instead, your cursed technique, body and soul were all in perfect sync, so you could do whatever you wanted both inside of and with the domain amplification, including imbuing it with your cursed technique."

Jogo then stood there, mouth agape for a few seconds as he reflected on what this could mean.

"Do you think you can... Use domain projection again, Jogo? Or was it a one-off occurence?"

"I... I don't know."

His voice was filled with self-doubt, though deep down he felt pride in the fact he could even potentially use an ability like this.

"Well then, you should get going, go on and find Dagon."

Jogo nodded and turned to leave, as Kenjaku gave a small smile and waved.

''I'll get going now, Geto."

"Please, call me Kenjaku."
