000.1 - The World Of Dieaga

Dieaga is a world that survived the end of itself.

Two centuries ago, the sky fractured in an event known as The Great Awakening. Shimmering wounds tore open the heavens, and from them poured beings not meant for mortal soil — creatures of flame and void, spirits of storm and stone, horrors that bend flesh and thought alike. Kingdoms fell in weeks. Forests turned hostile. Oceans swallowed cities. That era is remembered as The Red Century's Dawn.

But Dieaga did not die.

Ancient rivals united. Elves abandoned their hidden sanctuaries. Dwarves sealed their mountain gates and forged steel resistant to the corruption. Human nations centralized their power under wartime councils. Together, they raised towering arcane structures known as Aegis Spires, stabilizing reality itself and sealing the largest of the Aether Rifts.

Now, two hundred years later, Dieaga stands — scarred but unbroken.

Massive cities rise behind reinforced walls etched with anti-Rift sigils. Trade caravans travel under heavy guard. Children learn the sword as early as they learn their letters. Magic, once rare, is now drawn from the same unstable energy that nearly destroyed the world. It empowers and protects.

Beyond the safety of the Spires lie corrupted wildlands:

Crystal-fused coastlines.

Forests that shift in the night.

Mountains hiding ancient sealed horrors.

And at the heart of it all, a forbidden scar where the first great tear opened.

The Rifts are fewer now.

But they never truly stopped.

And whispers are spreading that someone — or something — is opening them again.

Dieaga is no longer collapsing.

But it is never safe.
