In Dieaga, no one is born into a class.
A class is not given.
It is **claimed**.
Before obtaining a class, an individual is considered **Unbound**.
During this stage:
- You may train in _any discipline_
- Use _any weapon_
- Attempt _any style of combat_
There are no restrictions.
Only limitation.
However—
It is strongly recommended to **train in a chosen path** before claiming a class.
Because once you do…
Everything changes.
To obtain a class, one must:
- Develop **proficiency** in a chosen discipline
- Show **understanding**, not just usage
- Reach a point where the system recognizes your intent
Only then does a class form.
"A class is not what you use.
It is what you understand."
You are **not permanently locked** into a class.
However:
- You must **fully master the base class** before switching
- You cannot freely jump between classes early
- Mastery unlocks **true flexibility**
- Once a base class is mastered:
- You may switch classes at will
- Learn abilities from other classes
- Use skills even when that class is not active
**Exception:**
- Master-rank abilities require the class to be active
Power is not defined by level alone.
It is defined by **Rank**.
### **Levels**
- Increase raw power
- Improve physical and Aether output
- Provide growth
### **Rank (The True Measure)**
- Determines mastery
- Unlocks abilities
- Gates advanced classes
A max-level fighter can still lose
to someone of higher rank.
Every ability has its own mastery.
- Skills grow with use
- Mastery enhances effects
- Some skills evolve
Certain skills:
- Sync with others
- Create new effects
- Unlock hidden interactions
Basic archetypes:
- Swordsman
- Mage
- Lancer
- Archer
- cleric
### **Hybrid Classes**
Combination of two disciplines:
- Swordsmage
- Spellblade
- Warcaster
Unlocked through:
- Dual mastery
- Cross-discipline training
EX Classes
These are not part of the standard system.
They are **earned through life itself**.
To unlock an EX Class:
- One must live **outside normal limits**
- Break patterns
- Achieve something the system does not expect
No two EX Classes are the same.
"You do not choose an EX Class.
You become it."
The system is not artificial.
It is tied to:
- Pre-Awakening magic
- Current Aether flow
It exists between both.
This allows:
- Mid-combat weapon summoning
- Ability switching
- Class flexibility
## **Aether Ascension**
- Enhances weapons, armor, and items
- Alters both **form and function**
- Infuses Aether directly into structure
- - Visual transformation
- Increased power
- New properties or abilities
> _"Before you understand power… you feel it."_
Aether is not invisible.
It leaks, bends, reacts—and at higher tiers, it **announces your existence**.
## **Tier 1 — Initiate**
**Visual:** Faint, unstable flicker
- Thin wisps of light around hands or weapon
- Appears only during ability use
- Color is dull, inconsistent
- Sometimes cuts out mid-action
Looks like _sparks trying to become fire_
## **Tier 2 — Disciple**
**Visual:** Controlled glow
- Soft aura around body when active
- Slight trailing effect on movement
- Elemental hint begins to show (embers, mist, static)
- Still fades quickly
Feels like _power is learning to stay
## **Tier 3 — Adept**
**Visual:** Defined aura layer
- Aura becomes visible even at rest (faint)
- Clear elemental identity (fire, shadow, etc.)
- Attacks leave **afterimages**
- Air slightly distorts around strikes
This is where people start saying: _"They're different."_
## **Tier 4 — Vanguard**
**Visual:** Pressure field
- Aura expands outward 1–3 meters
- Environment reacts (dust lifts, air bends, cloth shifts)
- Passive intimidation effect
- Ground may crack under heavy movement
You don't just see them—you **feel them entering the battlefield**
## **Tier 5 — Ascendant**
**Visual:** Domain presence
- Aura becomes **semi-constant**, even when calm
- Element begins affecting surroundings:
- Fire users heat the air
- Shadow users dim light
- Subtle sound distortion (low hum, crackle, silence)
- Eyes may glow faintly
Being near them feels _wrong_ if you're weaker
## **Tier 6 — Sovereign**
**Visual:** Reality distortion
- Aura no longer looks like energy—it looks like **space breaking**
- Light bends unnaturally
- Movements leave **delayed echoes**
- Weaker auras get suppressed automatically
Their presence overrides others
## **Tier 7 — Cataclysm**
**Visual:** Environmental takeover
- Aura becomes a **localized world effect**
- Sky, ground, and air all react
- Element manifests without effort
They don't carry power.
They **are** the event.
## **Beyond Tier 7 — Unnamed**
**Visual:** Conceptual break
- Aura becomes incomprehensible
- Observers may:
- Misinterpret what they see
- Forget details
- Feel pressure without source
This is where Hybris territory begins
# Rank Trials
> _"Rank is not given. It is proven."_
## **Core Rule**
You do not level into a rank.
You **break into it**.
# **Tier Advancement Structure**
## **Tier 1 → 2 (Awakening Trial)**
**Requirement:**
- Basic class understanding
- First true combat experience
**Trial:**
- Survive real combat using your class intentionally
System recognizes: _"You are no longer guessing."_
## **Tier 2 → 3 (Control Trial)**
**Requirement:**
- Skill consistency
- Ability chaining
**Trial:**
- Defeat a stronger opponent OR
- Complete a system-recognized challenge (combat, survival, or precision)
Unlocks: **Combo System**
## **Tier 3 → 4 (Pressure Trial)**
**Requirement:**
- True mastery of core skills
**Trial:**
- Fight under overwhelming pressure
- Protect something while outmatched
System checks:
- Decision-making
- Control under stress
Unlocks: **Battlefield Presence**
## **Tier 4 → 5 (Resonance Trial)**
**Requirement:**
- Strong identity in combat style
**Trial:**
- Achieve full synchronization with your power
Examples:
- First **Dominion Infusion**
- Partial **Eidolon Descent**
- Unique skill creation
This is where users stop copying and start becoming
## **Tier 5 → 6 (Sovereignty Trial)**
**Requirement:**
- Absolute control
**Trial:**
- Overpower another high-tier user OR
- Bend Aether beyond normal limits
System asks:
> "Can your will override reality… or just follow it?"
## **Tier 6 → 7 (Cataclysm Trial)**
**Requirement:**
- Breaking identity limits
**Trial:**
- Survive near-total fusion
- Use **Eternal Convergence** without dying
This is not a test.
It's survival.
# **Forced Advancement**
- Skip trials
- Break into tiers through anomaly
- Gain unstable power
- Unstable abilities
- System irregularities
