Chapter 13 - No one left behind.

Looking at the tense scene, Luke spoke up, his voice low but steady. "Maybe it's time you tell us who we're fighting."

Daredevil scanned the enemies surrounding them, then took a slow breath.

"It's the Hand. An evil organization," he said. "I don't fully know their goal… but judging from what they're doing, it's nothing good."

His head turned slightly toward Bullseye.

"I thought we were only dealing with one opponent… but it looks like the underground king of New York wants to interfere."

The others heard that and their expressions turned serious.

They might not know much about the Hand—except for Danny—but Wilson Fisk… everyone knew that name.

The undisputed king of New York.

"Okay, so we're dealing with gangsters and ninjas," Jessica muttered. "Great. Now does anyone have a plan to get us out of here?"

Before anyone could respond, Madame Gao stepped forward.

"It's unfortunate," she said calmly.

"Today should have been a good day… but now, we have to see you all die."

Her eyes sharpened. With a simple wave of her hand, she gave the order.

"Kill them all. Leave none alive."

Without another glance, she turned and disappeared into the crowd.

The moment the command was given, the enemies moved.

The group didn't hesitate—they had already decided. They retreated together, looking for a breakthrough, avoiding getting turned into Swiss cheese by gunfire.

Fortunately, the ninjas rushed in first, forcing the gunmen to hold their fire.

Luke charged at the front, tanking everything. Like a raging bull, he smashed through the enemies, sending bodies flying with raw strength.

Whoosh—

A sharp metal card sliced through the air, its edge glinting under the dim lights.

It shot straight toward Daredevil's back.

But as if he had eyes behind him, he twisted and deflected it without slowing down, continuing forward.

The scar-faced man smirked.

"Leave this to me, gambler."

Bullseye frowned slightly but said nothing, stepping back to find higher ground.

The scarred man stepped forward, raising his arms—then unleashed a blazing fireball, not caring who stood in its path, ninjas or gang members alike.

He laughed as flames burst outward, sending explosions across the dock.

Boom!

The group of heroes quickly took cover behind containers, pulling down nearby enemies as shields while the chaos erupted around them.

The flames died down, leaving smoke and sparks dancing in the air.

For a brief second, everything went quiet.

Then—

"Move!" Daredevil shouted.

Luke burst out first, charging straight through the smoke. Bullets slammed into his body, but he didn't even slow down. He grabbed a gangster by the collar and used him as a shield before tossing him aside like nothing.

Jessica followed, leaping forward and smashing two men together mid-run. One swing—another body went flying into a stack of crates.

On the other side, Danny stepped forward, his fist igniting with a bright golden glow.

"I've got the front!"

He drove his glowing fist into the ground—

Boom!

The impact sent a shockwave forward, knocking back a wave of ninjas and breaking their formation.

Colleen moved right after, slipping through the opening Danny created. Her katana flashed—clean, precise strikes, disarming and dropping enemies before they could react.

Daredevil weaved through the chaos, his movements fluid and controlled. Batons spun in his hands as he struck pressure points, dropped enemies, and redirected attacks with perfect timing.

Above them—

A metallic glint.

Bullseye.

Cards, bullets, anything he could grab—everything became a weapon.

"Down!" Daredevil warned.

The group split instantly. A barrage of projectiles rained down, embedding into crates, walls—exactly where they had been standing.

Luke grabbed a container door and swung it upward, blocking the next wave.

Jessica crouched low, then launched herself upward, grabbing a metal chain hanging above. She swung forward and kicked a ninja straight into a group behind him.

Danny dashed in again, his fist glowing brighter.

"Clear a path!"

Luke stepped aside—

Danny punched forward, the Iron Fist slamming into another cluster of enemies, sending them crashing through crates and scattering the formation again.

"Go, go!" Jessica shouted.

They began pushing forward as a unit now—

They moved like a team.

But then—

Another fireball came crashing down.

Boom!

The ground shook as flames spread again, cutting off their path.

The scarred man laughed from a distance.

"Run all you want!"

Daredevil turned his head slightly, sensing everything shifting around them.

"…This isn't over," he muttered.

And the fight only escalated.

The explosion forced them back. Flames spread across the ground, cutting off their advance.

Luke stepped forward again, but even he was starting to feel the pressure.

"We can't keep this up forever," he muttered.

"We don't have to," Daredevil replied. "We just need to get the kids out."

Jessica wiped blood from the corner of her lips. "Then let's stop dancing around."

Danny clenched his glowing fist. "Lead the way."

Daredevil tilted his head slightly, listening—mapping everything.

"…This way."

Without hesitation, they moved.

Luke charged first, breaking through a group of gangsters blocking the path. Bullets hit him, blades struck him—but he kept going, clearing the way like a moving wall.

Jessica followed, grabbing a man and slamming him into two others, creating space.

Daredevil moved ahead of them, weaving through enemies, taking them down quickly and silently, guiding the group back toward the containers.

Colleen stayed close to Danny, cutting down anyone who got too close, her blade precise even as fatigue showed in her movements.

Another volley came—

"Down!"

They ducked as Bullseye's projectiles sliced through the air, embedding into the metal behind them.

"Keep moving!" Daredevil shouted.

They reached the containers.

"Here!"

Daredevil rushed to the one he had opened earlier and pulled it wide. Inside—

A group of teenagers.

At least a dozen.

Some were barely conscious, others completely out, all crammed together in the dark, weak and unmoving.

Jessica froze for half a second. "…Damn."

Luke clenched his jaw. "We're not leaving any of them."

"Then don't," Daredevil said quickly. "We take as many as we can—now."

Luke stepped in, lifting two over each shoulder like they weighed nothing.

Jessica grabbed another two, one under each arm, forcing herself steady despite the strain.

Colleen sheathed her blade for a second and carefully carried one, supporting their weight.

Danny looked at the remaining teenagers—too many.

"I'll make space. We come back for the rest."

Daredevil nodded. "We move in waves."

Danny stepped forward, his fist igniting again.

"I'll clear the exit!"

He drove his fist into the ground—

Boom!

The shockwave blasted enemies back, opening a temporary path.

"Move!"

They rushed out of the container line.

Luke led, shielding the group with his body as bullets slammed into him.

Jessica stayed close, adjusting the weight as she ran.

Colleen guarded the side, kicking away anyone who got too close while holding onto the teenager.

Daredevil and Danny covered the rear, intercepting ninjas rushing in.

Behind them—

Boom!

Another fireball crashed down, flames spreading fast.

"They're trying to trap us!" Jessica shouted.

"Not happening," Luke growled.

They broke through the first line and reached partial cover behind stacked crates.

"Set them down!" Daredevil ordered.

They carefully laid the teenagers down.

Danny turned immediately. "We go back."

Luke nodded. "We go back."

No hesitation.

They ran in again.

The second push was harder.

Enemies were ready this time.

Bullseye's attacks came faster—sharper. One sliced across Jessica's arm, drawing blood.

"Damn it!"

Luke took the front again, but now even he staggered slightly under the constant barrage.

Daredevil moved faster, more aggressively—taking hits just to keep the path open.

Colleen's breathing grew heavier, her strikes still precise but slower now.

Danny's fist flared again—brighter this time.

"Clear out!"

Boom!

Another shockwave.

They reached the container again—grabbing more teenagers, carrying whoever they could.

Trip after trip.

Back and forth.

Each time slower.

Each time harder.

Bruises turned to cuts.

Cuts turned to blood.

By the final run—

They were exhausted.

Luke was breathing heavily.

Jessica was limping slightly.

Danny's glow flickered.

Colleen's grip trembled.

Even Daredevil moved with visible strain.

But—

No one was left behind.

They stumbled out of the port together, carrying the last of the teenagers.

Then—

Sirens.

Loud.

Close.

Police.

The gang members hesitated.

The ninjas paused.

"…They're here," Daredevil said under his breath.

Luke let out a breath. "Misty came through."

"Good timing," Jessica muttered.

The enemies began retreating into the shadows, disappearing before the police could arrive.

The group finally stopped a few blocks away, gently setting all the teenagers down—one by one.

There were many of them now.

All safe.

All alive.

Everyone stood there, battered and breathing hard.

Jessica leaned against a wall. "That… really sucked."

Luke gave a tired nod. "Yeah."

Danny looked at the group they saved. "…Worth it."

Colleen stayed quiet, watching over them.

Daredevil stood still, listening to the approaching sirens.

Closer now.

Real.

For a moment—

No one spoke.

They didn't know each other.

Didn't trust each other.

But they fought together.

Bled together.

Saved lives together.

Jessica finally broke the silence.

"So… what now?"

Daredevil turned slightly toward them.

"…Now?"

A pause.

"We figure out what the Hand is planning."

The sirens echoed through the night.

And this time—

None of them walked away.
