Julian slept straight through until 10 a.m.
He felt amazing.
For some reason, this was the best sleep he'd had in a long time. When he woke up, not only was his mind clear, his body felt great too. The exhaustion from last night's blood draw had completely vanished.
The moment he opened his eyes, his two little attendants rushed over with a toothbrush and a towel.
Now that the flight attendant girls were around, breakfast was no longer Hana's responsibility. She could comfortably sleep in with Julian until morning.
She was absolutely delighted about that.
After washing up, Julian headed out of the villa with his two attendants.
The moment he stepped outside, he saw Asuka climbing over the wall from the neighboring villa.
"Oh? You actually made it this time," Julian teased with a grin. "Your jumping ability improved?"
Asuka's face instantly flushed red, and she bolted without a word.
"It's just artificial respiration and CPR," Julian muttered, shaking his head. "Why so shy?"
The three of them walked over to the large swimming pool.
Breakfast was already laid out.
Plain congee with pickled vegetables, salted eggs, along with youtiao and scallion pancakes.
One look and you could tell whoever made it had real skill.
Not bad. Definitely worth praising.
Seeing how much Julian enjoyed the food, No. 3 and No. 9 looked incredibly satisfied.
After breakfast, Julian gathered all thirteen girls together.
"After drinking my special potion yesterday, did any of you notice changes in your bodies?" he asked.
"Yes!"
"My strength definitely increased!"
"My skin feels tighter, and my figure looks even better now!"
"Same here! I swear I went up half a cup size!"
"I can do a mid-air split now! I couldn't before!"
The girls eagerly shared their changes.
Julian's face twitched.
Why did this feel like it was going completely off-topic…
He was asking about combat strength, not this.
"Master, should we bring a refrigerator over?" Mafuyu quickly stepped in, sensing the awkwardness.
"…Yeah, that works," Julian agreed after a moment. "Just grab one from any empty guest room in the main building."
A small fridge was soon placed in front of him.
"Alright… you, streetlight decoration—come punch it," Julian beckoned to Chizuru.
"Who are you calling 'streetlight decoration'?!" Chizuru shot back, glaring at him. "I have a name, okay? Call me No. 1!"
Still, she walked up to the fridge.
Punching a refrigerator…
Wouldn't that hurt?
No… she couldn't let him look down on her!
Taking a deep breath, Chizuru threw a full-force punch at the fridge door.
Boom!
The metal door caved in instantly, forming a deep dent.
Julian nodded in satisfaction.
Good. The effect was solid.
"This… this was me?" Chizuru stared at her fist in disbelief. "I'm this strong now?!"
The other girls were itching to try as well.
They had felt something different when they woke up, but they hadn't expected it to be this dramatic.
"Alright, that's enough. You get the idea," Julian said, waving them off. "Today, I'm taking Mafuyu and Hana out."
"The rest of you—guard the house."
"Don't let a single person in."
"Got it?"
"Yes, Master!" the girls answered in unison.
Thanks to Julian's miraculous potion, they had gained strength far beyond normal humans. Their admiration for him only grew stronger.
"Asuka, you've got some combat experience," Julian added. "Help keep watch while I'm gone."
"Mhm…" Asuka nodded, her face slightly red as she lowered her head and sipped her milk.
He didn't find out about last night, right…?
But Mafuyu was right—after drinking it, her strength really had improved a lot.
Sigh…
Should she keep sneaking some in the future…?
But if she drank too much, she'd definitely get caught…
After breakfast, Julian left with Mafuyu and Hana.
Aside from the time they moved houses, this was the first time he had taken both of them out together.
This lineup was probably their strongest combat force for now.
There was another advantage too—since all three sat in the front, he could finally drive in peace.
Neither of the two attendants showed any intention of "feeding" on the way.
Probably because they were embarrassed. Yeah, that had to be it.
Otherwise, after going a whole night without eating, they wouldn't have been able to resist.
The truck rolled steadily down the road and soon arrived at the computer mall.
As they got closer, Julian immediately sensed something was off.
Previously, the roads here had been littered with zombie corpses.
Now, not only were the bodies gone—even the zombies themselves were scarce.
That didn't make sense…
Could it be their organization had expanded too quickly, run out of people to eat, and started eating zombies instead?
Julian grabbed his Hammer of Destruction and got out of the truck.
"Stay sharp. The mutated zombies here were pretty tough last time," he warned.
Mafuyu and Hana nodded, sticking close behind him.
The three of them cautiously stepped into the mall.
The moment they entered, Julian noticed something was seriously wrong.
Last time, although the first floor was messy, most of the counters were still in place.
Now, the entire floor had been completely overturned.
Not a single counter remained intact.
The ground was covered in dried blood, shattered bones, and bits of flesh.
But there were no bodies.
"Master, there must have been an intense battle here," Mafuyu said.
"Yeah, I can see that," Julian replied. "What's strange is—just like outside, there aren't any corpses…"
"Do people clean up after fights now?"
"Or is this like a game, where bodies just despawn automatically?"
The thought made him chuckle.
"Let's check downstairs."
Switching on a flashlight, Julian slowly made his way to the basement.
The lower level of the mall used to be a food street—milk tea shops, fried chicken stalls, duck neck vendors, and the like.
The hooded zombie had mentioned before that over a hundred people had once taken refuge here, only for it to later become a feeding ground for zombies.
As soon as they went down, Julian smelled a strong stench of blood.
A "cafeteria"… yeah, brutal.
This level had plenty of corpses—but most were either reduced to skeletons or heavily decomposed.
Other than that, there was nothing.
"Hana, check if there are any zombies nearby," Julian said, covering his nose as he quickly left the basement.
"Master, there are only a few wandering normal zombies in this building," Hana reported.
"Ah! Wait… there's… a zombie dog on the fourth floor!"
Her eyes lit up as she spoke.
The presence was faint—she had almost missed it.
Julian rubbed her head.
Hana might not be as strong as Mafuyu in combat, but her ability was undeniably useful.
Bringing both of them along definitely made things more efficient.
