Chapter 78 - Chapter 78: Nameless Uchiha

"But that's just something others arbitrarily imposed on you. You have no obligation to follow it. Moreover, whether it's the Uchihas who once treated you as a tool for killing or the Senju they wanted to oppose,

in this current era, both have long since become things of the past. In the time to come, you can do whatever you want based on your own heart."

Speaking of the Uchiha and Senju, Furina couldn't help but find it a bit amusing. The two most powerful clans of the Warring States period had both declined one after another after the founding of Konoha.

The Senju might have fared a bit better they simply integrated into the village. But the Uchiha had legitimately been massacred by someone until only a few lone survivors were left wandering the ninja world.

"What you say... is it true?"

The Uchiha girl's voice clearly carried some doubt. In her understanding, both the Uchiha and Senju had been dominant existences back then. It was hard to imagine that they had now become history.

"Of course. Under the sun, nothing is impossible. For something like this, just go outside and ask any random person you'll know. I'm not going to fool you with some flimsy lie that falls apart at a poke."

"Mm." Hearing this, the nameless Uchiha nodded lightly, then lowered her head again, seemingly lost in thought.

"Sigh. If it weren't for the fact that the Uchihas who treated you as a tool back then now have grass several meters high over their graves, I'd definitely give them a good thrashing to avenge you.

But those guys dying is for the best it saves me from having to look at them. So what I mean is, don't keep suffering over things that are already in the past. This world may not be perfect,

but it still has some redeeming qualities. There are still many things worth seeing with your own eyes. For example, you met me, haha o( ̄︶ ̄)o."

"Hmph~" Looking at Furina chattering nonstop, sometimes indignant and sometimes narcissistic, a faint smile appeared on the lowered face of the nameless Uchiha.

"I... Pfft"

Influenced by Furina, the nameless Uchiha's mood had improved somewhat and she had just started to speak when, for some reason, she suddenly spat out a mouthful of blood.

Seeing this, she herself didn't think much of it at first. On the contrary, it startled Furina opposite her. What was going on? Their earlier clash had only lasted an instant how was she already spitting blood? This wasn't right.

After a moment of surprise, Furina more or less figured out what had happened. The seal might have temporarily halted the other's vital signs, but facing the erosion of time, it was impossible to remain perfectly unchanged.

Moreover, this seal had originally been made by the Senju clan for enemies. It couldn't possibly have been done with extreme care. One could say that the fact the other hadn't died the moment Furina undid the seal was already a blessing.

Just that brief clash earlier had caused the other to spit blood. If they exchanged a few more moves, Furina didn't even dare imagine what would happen. It definitely wouldn't be anything that made her happy.

"Uh, that... I actually know a thing or two about medical knowledge. How about letting me take a look for you?"

Facing Furina's cautious demeanor, the nameless Uchiha found it amusing, while at the same time a strange feeling arose in her heart one she had never experienced before.

As for Furina's suggestion, the nameless Uchiha naturally wouldn't refuse. Although she didn't care about the blood she had just spat, if Furina wanted to, then let her.

Right now she only wanted to figure out what that strange feeling from earlier was. Everything else didn't matter.

"Then leave it to me."

After getting the other's consent, Furina quickly walked over to her side and began a careful examination. At the same time, green light emerged on her hands as she lifted the other's arm to sense.

Although there were no visible injuries, medical ninjutsu wasn't completely useless. Through related techniques, she could still get a general sense of the other's physical condition.

Just as Furina had expected earlier, due to the excessively long sealing period, the other's bodily activity was clearly lower than that of an ordinary person.

In this state, daily activities were no problem, but engaging in high-load combat would be impossible. Even exerting just a little force would lead to the same blood-spitting situation as before.

"Because you were sealed for too long, your body can't handle intense movement. That's why you spat blood just now.

But you don't need to worry. As long as you rest properly, this condition should mostly resolve itself after some time, barring any surprises."

"Mm." Although this was good news, the nameless Uchiha didn't seem particularly concerned about the outcome. She just kept her head tilted to the side, lost in thought about something.

Seeing this, Furina assumed the other was indifferent to her own state because of past events, which only made her hate those old Uchiha even more.

Those inherently evil Uchiha geezers if she ever had the chance to meet them, she'd at least grind their bones to dust and scatter the ashes. No less.

"Who"

Just as the two were each lost in their own thoughts, as if sensing something, they suddenly turned their heads in the same direction at the same time.

The forest over there was pitch black and deathly silent, seemingly with no abnormalities at all.

But neither the nameless Uchiha who had been slaughtering on battlefields since childhood nor Furina who was no longer a rookie would think what they had just felt was a mere illusion.

"Hm hm hm hm, how perceptive. I originally just wanted to observe, but I didn't expect there to be such an unexpected bonus."

Accompanying the voice, a twisted vortex suddenly appeared in their line of sight. Then, a figure wearing an orange mask slowly emerged. Clearly, he was the anomaly the two had just sensed.

Uchiha Obito?

Although the other was wrapped up tightly, Furina had watched Naruto. If she still couldn't recognize his identity, she might as well bash her head against a tofu and die.

"Judging by your outfit, you're from Akatsuki, right? But there are no Jinchuriki here for you."

Knowing was one thing pretending was still necessary. After all, the current Uchiha Obito was still "Uchiha Madara"~

"The purpose of my trip isn't a tailed beast. It's the Uchiha girl behind you. As long as you hand her over to me, I won't harm you."

Uchiha Obito made no effort to conceal his intentions. He just kept staring blatantly at the nameless Uchiha or rather, at her eyes.

"I never expected to find another pair of Mangekyo here. How rare. If I can obtain them, then whether it's eventually breaking with Nagato or running into that person if something unexpected happens, I'll be able to handle it much more calmly."

But just as Obito was admiring the beautiful patterns in the nameless Uchiha's Sharingan, something suddenly blocked his view, preventing him from seeing those eyes any longer.
